Linslade Canal Festival returns this year for another unforgettable celebration of countryside charm, heritage crafts and stunning canal boats.
🛍 WHAT TO EXPECT
Visitors will be treated to captivating demonstrations from traditional artisans, including bee skep making, stained glass window crafting, trug and hurdle making and wood carving. These skilled craftspeople will showcase the beauty and technique behind rural trades that have stood the test of time. A birds of prey static display will offer an up-close look at majestic raptors, while forest school workshops and storytelling sessions promise hands-on discovery and imaginative adventures for all ages.

The festival’s main stage will feature live performances from Wayland Smithy, the Andy Smythe Band and the lively Brass Junkies. Roaming entertainers Andrew and Edmund (A & E) will bring spontaneous musical fun throughout the poplars area.

An unforgettable experience, combining the benefits of a yoga class with animal therapy, taking place outdoors in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of Animal Edge in Bedfordshire. Get up close and personal with adorable goats, release tension and tightness in the body and lose yourself in smiles and laughter whilst listening to the chatty donkey, peacock, chickens and pigs. Follow the session with Instagram-worthy photos of goat and animal feeding plus s'mores and snacks around the firepit and sunset viewing. What better way to spend an early Summer's evening? . They each have a fascinating wealth of knowledge regarding all manner of strange goings-on in the local area. They will find out about what haunted activity is taking place at county, town and maybe even individual venue level to deliver as many ethereal tales as possible. Sleep well – if you can !

It's the perfect way to spend quality time with your friends & family and enjoy the great outdoors - or simply come down to practice your skills & beat your course best! Open from March to December - it's fantastic FUN for all ages!
Enjoy our beautiful lakeside setting as you work your way around our Disc & Football Golf course! You will need to throw your disc into the basket or football into the hole - the exact same as you would do on a golf course! Your round should take around 1 hour to complete. The one who takes the least goes is the winner!

Wander onto the village green and discover Moot Hall - a registered Ancient Monument. This delightful 15th century timber-framed building is unique, being the only known combined manor courthouse & market hall to have been built in Britain by a nunnery.
As well as Bunyan-related items, Moot Hall houses a collection of 17th century furniture and various small exhibitions, including beautiful Bedfordshire lace-making. (Which you can purchase here.) Moot Hall is run by a small team of volunteers, all of whom are knowledgeable about its history, so don't hesitate to ask them questions.
▪️PLEASE NOTE: Cash only in the shop.

There is no admission fee for individuals and families. Instead, we invite you to leave a donation, at the end of your visit, for whatever amount you feel your visit was worth.
🤔 WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
Bring the family, perhaps have a picnic on the green. Follow that with a stroll around the ancient timber-framed buildings on Elstow's High Street and the Abbey church and ruins of the former Benedictine nunnery. Then round off your visit with a cuppa at the delightful Elstow Tea Garden or at Elstow Post Office's Cottage Tea Room or the Red Lion Pub (A Sizzling pub).
♿️ DISABLED ACCESS
There is one parking space at Moot Hall exclusively reserved for Blue Badge Holders.
Access to the upper floor of Moot Hall is via a flight of fairly steep stairs but there is a chair-lift. There are some raised beams in the downstairs floor which you will need to be able to step over and one bay may not be accessible to wider wheelchairs. Sorry, but Moot is, after all, an authentic medieval building!

There is a small car park adjacent to Moot Hall - only for people visiting the museum. - and this may be accessed from Church End.
