Join us for a fun-filled day at The Secret Farm, specially designed for home-educating families and childminders!
💜 Pick Your Own lavender and flowers will be available throughout the day.
🍓 We are hopeful that strawberries, raspberries and tomatoes will also be available to pick; however, due to the current heatwave, we are unable to guarantee fruit availability at this stage.
🎉 Our popular play area will be open, featuring:
• Sand pit (with toys and deck chairs)
• Go karts
• Mini tractors
• Park area
• Trampoline
• Trim trail
• Outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the countryside views
🚜 Plus bouncy castles and the barrel train running throughout the day (£3 per person).
🌿 A wonderful opportunity for children to learn, explore, play and enjoy the outdoors with other families and childminders.

🌺 The Walled Garden Open Day 2026
Time: 10:30 - 16:00
🌹 WHAT TO EXPECT
Entrance includes a fascinating tour of the walled garden and visitors are encouraged to break their visit with a picnic or a visit to the Woodyard Café. The garden is best enjoyed at a snail’s pace, entrance is for all day! Notice boards and displays are updated throughout the season allowing fascinating insight into the garden’s rich history.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
Every effort has been made to make the garden accessible to as many visitors as possible. With that in mind we have recently finished resurfacing the area around the sundial making it far easier for wheeled access. However, due to the age and rich history of the garden there are some areas that are not accessible by wheelchair. Please inform members of the Walled Garden Project at the entrance and every effort will be made to provide an alternative route, provide commentary on the area, or help with pushing if there are volunteers available. Disabled toilets are available within the conservatory.
🐶 DOGS
Dogs on leads with well-behaved owners are most welcome at the Walled Garden.
🅿️ PARKING
Parking is in an immediately adjacent car park with clearing marked disabled parking bays. Pre-booking is not required. Please note the Walled Garden is not at the hotel entrance.

▪️Under 2’s and carers are FREE

🕥 TIMES
Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:45 (approx.), trains leaving Haynes End after 15:45 will not stop at Hammer Hill. We close at 16:00.
🛤 JOURNEY INFORMATION
The Summerfield Line will take you between Haynes End Station and Hammer Hill Station.
At Hammer Hill you will have the option of taking a ride on two more of our railways - The Springfield Line from platform 2 and The Winterfield Line from platform 3 - tickets for both are sold at Hammer Hill.
🥪 FOOD & DRINK
The picnic area at Hammer Hill will also be open for you to use, from where you will be able to watch the Garden Line in operation.
ℹ️ 🌧 IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Except where indicated you do not need to book in advance, merely "turn-up and go". The operation of all railways is subject to the availability of volunteers to run them and the prevailing weather conditions. We do try to run even when the weather is not at its best, but will have to cease operations should conditions dictate.
