The Car Boot runs until 1:00 pm for buyers and sellers.

Next to St Mary’s Church

🚘 SELLERS
Seller arrival time is between 6:00 am. If you have pre-booked then you can turn up on the day from 6:30 am in Biggin Lane, Hitchin - SG4 9YH and our stewards will direct you to a stall with is undercover (roof) and also has lighting.
▪️STALL COST: £10
▪️PAYMENT INFO
Payment is collected on the day by our assistants and if you wish to pre-book for the following week you must pay in advance. (No refunds for non-attendance)

🥞 The world-famous Olney Pancake Race returns on Tuesday 17th February 2026! Join us for a historic day of fun, food, and racing in the heart of Olney. The ladies of the town are ready to run in a tradition dating back to 1445!
🕚 SCHEDULE
▪️10am: Children’s Races on the north side of the Market Place
▪️11.00am – 11.45am: Olney Pancake Race supported by Bonne Maman starts near the pedestrian crossing – check out the route
🎶 ENTERTAINMENT
▪️ Fairground Organ: Outside the Church Hall, hear ‘Susan’ from James Reid of Doncaster playing music from past and present.
▪️ Live Music: Catch the wonderful Wintringham Pipers in the Market Place and outside St Peter & St Paul’s Church as they pipe in the Race winners.
▪️ Street Performers: Have some fun with The Great Gappo, with his balloon modelling and unicycle—he’s been joining us for many years!
▪️ Meet & Greet: You can also meet Fred, Homepride’s bowler-hat-wearing Chief Flour Grader, and chat with the team from our local Fire Station.
🛍 MARKET PLACE SHOPPING
For those of you who want to shop, come along to the Market Place where you’ll find a fantastic variety of stalls:
• Lavender House – all things lavender
• Potato Headz – fun potato items
• Bozeat Village Honey – local honey direct from the Beekeeper
• Bell’s Designs – gifts for everyone
• Carol Hilbourne – local artist
• Walk on the Wired Side – great gifts
• Creyative – clothing, accessories and gifts
• Olney Pancake Race goodies
• Cowper & Newton Museum souvenirs
• Fantastic Race Tombola

Why not join us in the Marquee after the start of the race at 12.00pm for some half-term fun?
You can ‘Splat the Rat’, decorate a pancake, and do some colouring and puzzles. Plus, visit the Knitty Stitchers in the Church Hall.
