Our summer pop up beach is coming back this half term 2025 at The Olde Watermill, Barton-le-Clay.

🏰 WHAT TO EXPECT
Come and build sandcastles on the beach, enjoy time on the pedal boats then bounce away on the 4 bouncy castles including the popular assault course. Come and enjoy some fun in the sun!
🚣♀️ THE WATER BOATS
The boats are in a large inflatable pool and the children all wear a life jacket.
🎟 TICKETS COST: £8 PER CHILD
Plus booking fee. You can book tickets via the event link. 3 adults allowed per booking.

There has been a Watermill on the site since 1086 as the Watermill is mentioned in the Domesday book and it is one of the oldest overshot Watermills in the country.
Over the last few years, it has been lovingly restored and is now home to over 20 unique and individual shops as well as the Mill House Restaurant, Tea Room & Cafe, an antique centre, Miller’s Shopping Arcade and a soft play area for the children.

Linslade Canal Festival returns this year for another unforgettable celebration of countryside charm, heritage crafts and stunning canal boats.

Visitors will be treated to captivating demonstrations from traditional artisans, including bee skep making, stained glass window crafting, trug and hurdle making and wood carving. These skilled craftspeople will showcase the beauty and technique behind rural trades that have stood the test of time. A birds of prey static display will offer an up-close look at majestic raptors, while forest school workshops and storytelling sessions promise hands-on discovery and imaginative adventures for all ages.

The Comedy Garden takes place in Verulamium Park, opposite Westminster Lodge.
There is no event parking; please use one of the many car parks in St Albans town centre. There are bus stops nearby on Holywell Hill, and St Albans Abbey train station is less than a 10-minute walk. If you use a taxi service, a good meeting point is opposite Westminster Lodge.

Most crops are grown in ridges or beds, like Strawberries for example, so it would not be possible to get into the middle of the block but you can pick along the edges. When it has been raining it can get very muddy and our soil is sticky and can clog wheels quite quickly.

Join us for a tantalising & eclectic mix of psychic mediumship, clairvoyance, Tarot, supernatural ghost stories and perhaps even a bit of magick? Tuned In Events focuses solely on the psychic entertainment aspects. It's worth noting that the focus of this event is very much on enjoying the readings as part of a shared group experience, rather than a 1-2-1s based evening. Small groups of people or couples may need to be added to larger tables if necessary – so Attendees may end up sharing a table with other Guests. Individual private 1-2-1 readings will be available at extra cost.

Some of our Readers run their own ghost walks, ghost tours and regularly take part in ghosthunts. They each have a fascinating wealth of knowledge regarding all manner of strange goings-on in the local area. Tuned In Events focuses solely on the psychic entertainment aspects. It's worth noting that the focus of this event is very much on enjoying the readings as part of a shared group experience, rather than a 1-2-1s based evening. For this event, Attendees will be asked to arrive around 6pm ready to be seated by 6.30pm, have their names checked on the Guest List and will then shown to their Group tables – where they'll sit down, all ready for a whole evening's worth of spiritual entertainment, with food.
😋 THE SUPPER - 7PM
Food will be served between 7pm – 7.30pm and will be provided by the Venue as part of a Three Course Meal.
Drinks or side extras etc are not included in the Ticket price (unless stated) and will need to be bought & paid for separately, at the bar.
Definitely do inform the Venue directly if you have any food allergies, intolerances or are vegan or vegetarian. They will do their very best to accommodate Guest's needs and are solely responsible for the food, drinks & catering side of things.
