Have a go at creating a heraldic shield design, make your own small clay pot, brass rubbing or calligraphy to produce your own illuminated letter in a medieval style.

The session last an hour, are bookable, with sessions taking place at 11:15am, 12:45pm and 2:15pm.

Create a tiny garden to take home, perfect for fairies and elves to live in.
All children must be accompanied by an adult, however only book a place for the participating child(ren).

🐶 DOG INFORMATION
They welcome small dogs inside the Museum buildings (except the Granary Tea Room) but they must be carried. All guide and assisted dogs are always welcome.
Larger dogs can be walked in the grounds but must be kept on leads. Of course, owners are expected to clear up after their dogs

Thanks to its donors MKM are able to run this event for its second year - bringing a free, inclusive festival which celebrates our local diversity and heritage, through hands-on activity, performance, and community interpretation.

Little ones can enjoy their very own picnic box, while grown-ups relax with a hot drink and a delicious slice of homemade cake.
There’ll be plenty to keep everyone smiling, including crafts, games, and lots of teddy bear adventures. Don’t forget to bring your favourite cuddly friend along!

Along the way, they’ll discover fascinating facts about the insects and mini-beasts that visit our gardens, and learn simple ways to help them thrive throughout the summer months.
After crafting, we’ll enjoy some interactive games and finish with a fun story to spark their imagination.

Due to space considerations, only one adult may accompany each child.
