⚙️ The Mill, Shop and Tea Room are open to the public only on the dates below. Flour and oats are milled on open days, water levels permitting. Tea Room last orders 4.30pm.
ℹ️ THE MILL
There are three floors to view. We recommend the minimum time would be 15 minutes for each floor. There is a lift in the mill which allows full access to all three floors, there is also a toilet, for disabled visitors.
🌳 THE NATURE RESERVE
The Nature Reserve is open all year round, except 10th-11th May and 4th-5th October 2025. A circular walk takes around 45 minutes.
🐶 ABOUT DOGS
With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow dogs in the mill. We welcome well behaved dogs in the Nature Reserve and ask that they be kept on leads at all times – many animals and birds breed or feed on the reserve, at or near ground level at all seasons of the year.

This is a normal Steaming Day with the bonus of a TV star offering steam train rides on Sundays 5th and 19th October 2025... Her new paint job remains very much under wraps, so, for now, you'll just have to put these dates in your diaries and come along with your camera!
There will be lots for the whole family to see and do at our heritage railway, with 25-acres to explore! Enjoy steam train rides, take a trip on the miniature railway, enjoy the visitor centre and railway museum, travelling post office, watch the model railway and enjoy our café and gift shops.

Attendance to The Howl is age restricted. Anyone aged 12-15 years of age will only be permitted entry onto the site and in any attractions if they are with someone 16 or older. Anyone aged 16 or older will be allowed to enter the sites and mazes unsupervised. No one ages 11 or under will be permitted entry.

Visitors with additional needs are entitled to one free carer ticket, provided they can show proof of requirement with one of the following:

👻 Join us for a spooky trail and more family fun with our haunted half-term this October 2025 at Waddesdon Manor. From 25 October until 2 November, 2025 children get free entry to the house and grounds at Waddesdon!

Visit the Skull Shack (also known as the Conservation Hub), where skeletons are hard at work and mysterious boxes are waiting to be uncovered… Can you guess what’s inside?

🗺 Where can I get my trail sheets from?
Trail sheets are available from the Welcome Pavilion or Visitor Information. The trail runs from 10am – 4pm, last trail entry is 3.30pm and prizes are available to collect until 4pm.
Advance booking recommended.

Visit the Skull Shack (also known as the Conservation Hub), where skeletons are hard at work and mysterious boxes are waiting to be uncovered… Can you guess what’s inside?
You’ll also have the chance to meet some creepy crawlies and learn about the different species that live in and around Waddesdon, as well as using a microscope to see the beauty of nature.
🎃 Pick a Pumpkin
Pumpkins are available outside the Skull Shack from Oct 22, 2025 while supplies last. Grown at the gardens at Eythrope, they’re perfect for carving or decorating. Suggested donation: 50p for small pumpkins or £1 for large pumpkins.
