Important Note: Please remember that our opening times may occasionally be adjusted due to weather conditions, which could result in extended hours or early closure. We'll always do our best to keep you updated.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
There is free entry for vehicles displaying a disabled blue badge permit during the gatehouse opening times and there are reserved blue badge spaces in the main car park, near to the cafe where there is also access to toilet facilities for the disabled.
The main, circular pathway through the park has a hard paved surface that is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs for most of the year. However, parts of the path can be wet in winter and after heavy rain.
Emberton Country Park has a Changing Places toilet, located behind the cafe.

To make the most of your visit our popular gallery trails which can be bought from the museum shop for £1.50. We currently have the ABC trail (under 6), and Walter and his animals (6+) to explore the museum with. You're also welcome to draw in the galleries, with your own pencils, or use ours located past admissions. Come and show us how you get on!

Our trail is most suited to children under 8 years of age but everyone is welcome to take part.
Our Easter Bunny has been hopping around Willen Lake and accidentally dropped eight of his eggs! Each one comes with a fun challenge, from spotting wildlife and discovering different leaves to striking your best bunny pose. Kids can get creative, get active, and enjoy the fresh air as they follow the trail around the lakeside.

🌳 THE NATURE RESERVE
The Nature Reserve is open all year round, except 9th-10th May and 10th-11th October 2026.
📖 HISTORY
Nobody is certain of the exact date, but it is likely that a watermill has stood on the site of the current Stotfold Mill beside the River Ivel for over a thousand years and it is certainly one of the oldest recorded buildings in the town. The first written evidence is the mention of four mills in Stotfold in the Domesday book of 1086. One of those four was the currently-named Stotfold Mill.
