The display, funded and organised by Stevenage Borough Council, always draws the crowds, so please avoid driving if possible - although if you must drive, parking will be available at the South Field Car Park (opposite Stevenage FC stadium) or in the town centre car parks. 

Please avoid parking on residential streets and be mindful of local residents when making your way to and from the display.

โ—๏ธAny vehicles parked on double yellow lines and grass verges risk being towed away.

โ™ฟ๏ธ BLUE BADGE PARKING
Please note parking at Marriotts School Sports Centre (main entrance, Brittain Way, SG2 8BL) is only available to those who need accessibility parking for the Fairlandโ€™s Fireworks Display. It is not a public car park and there are limited spaces that are available on a first come, first served basis.

๐Ÿšซ WHAT NOT TO BRING
Visitors are asked not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers to the display for health and safety reasons, and we also advise visitors to not buy from street traders or hawkers at the event as they have not been accredited by Stevenage Borough Council.

Please avoid crossing Six Hills Way which is a high-speed road. There are underpasses available for pedestrians to walk through, and Security Stewards shall be on hand to direct you to the underpass.

๐ŸŽ‡ Corby Fireworks Night 2025 - Corby Boating Lake

๐ŸŽ‡ North Northamptonshire Council is pleased to announce the return of the annual Corby Fireworks Night, taking place on Wednesday 5 November 2025 at Corby Boating Lake.

This free public event is a much-anticipated highlight in the local calendar, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy a professionally delivered fireworks display in a safe and welcoming environment.

โœจ๏ธ EVENT DETAILS
As with previous years, the event will start with the torchlight procession led by representatives from North Northamptonshire Council from Corby International Pool at 6:30pm, before the bonfire is lit at 7pm and the firework display starts at 7:30pm.

๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ BLUE BADGE & PARKING INFORMATION
Blue Badge parking will now only be located at Corby Boating Lake car park (NN17 2UN) and spaces must be booked in advance via the Discover Northamptonshire website.
On the night, stewards will be checking car parking tickets and anyone without a valid ticket and Blue Badge will not be permitted access to the car park.

You will only be able to park between 5:30pm and 6:15pm on Wednesday 5 November - anyone arriving after this time will not be permitted access.

Stewards will be on hand to assist and answer any questions around suggested viewing areas near the Boating Lake.

๐ŸŽ‡ This year's Redbourn Common, Hertfordshire firework display is being held on Saturday 8th November 2025.

๐ŸŽก FUNFAIR
The fair starts at 5pm and along with them, there will be food and drinks available along The Avenue.

๐ŸŽ‡ FIREWORK DISPLAY
The display starts at 7pm but do come earlier as we have the brilliant Fun Fair provided by Philip Green. They have been coming to Redbourn Common for many years now, so please do come and support them.

โœ…๏ธ FREE ADMISSION, DONATIONS WELCOME 
This event is organised by the Firework Display volunteers, who are a working party of the Parish Council and hopefully you will agree, that it is a well run event that relies heavily on volunteers. The event is free (we do not charge an admission fee), and this is where we need your help. It is entirely funded through sponsorship, donations on the night via the bucket collectors, and the sale of raffle tickets. This money enables us to cover our costs and then enables us to be able to put the event on again the next year. Please look out for the bucket collectors on the night and the marques where raffle tickets will be sold. If you don't see anyone on the night - don't worry - you can still donate via our Just Giving page.

โ›”๏ธ ROAD CLOSURES 
There is a road closure in place from 6pm which closes the roads around the Common. This means will be no vehicular access from 6pm - 8pm to ensure the safety of the public. If you have friends joining you from outside the area, please ensure they are aware and either come earlier, or find an alternative route.

For public safety reasons, for those in roads affected we advise that if you need to go out or return between these times (or have visitors) then you move your car to a side street.

We look forward to seeing you at what promises to be another good display.

Roads marked in red on the map around Redbourn Common will be closed between 6-8pm with access only for emergency vehicles for the duration of the closure. Blue dotted lines denotes the diversion.

Car parking will be available at the Cricket Pavilion and Lybury Lane (designated disabled parking). There is also parking on the streets around the village but please park responsibly and considerately, ensuring you don't block any driveways/pavements/footpaths for wheelchair, pushchair users etc. Wherever possible please travel on foot.

The Olde Watermill Shopping Village is set in and around an historic Watermill.

This event is best for children aged five to 15 and siblings are welcome.

๐Ÿ‘ What can you expect from the experience?
  • โœจ๏ธ Visitors have access to a few activities including specimen handling, crafting and a gallery trail.
  • โœจ๏ธ All activities are supported by experienced, autism-aware facilitators.
  • โœจ๏ธ A sensory space will be available for those children needing a quieter and calmer space.
  • โœจ๏ธ All of the galleries, outdoor spaces and the shop will be accessible throughout the event.
  • โœจ๏ธ Each event has a different theme. In May it's rainforests, in August it's Oceans and the theme for November is Autumn.

Both companies focus on performance and meet for two hours each week to develop technique, skills, and ideas, creating original work and professionally commissioned pieces and performance opportunities (Previous opportunities include Royal Opera House, BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend, Sky News, Brighton Fringe and Mรถtus Dance Festival MK).

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with other artists and create high-quality, authentic work that pushes boundaries, challenges audience perspectives, and amplifies vital voices that are too often unheard in our society.

Our Company members are offered free headshots, access to free workshop opportunities with professional theatre and dance companies and tickets to shows at The Hat Factory Arts Centre.
