Join us at Parson’s Close Recreation Ground for a season of free outdoor concerts, running from June to September 2026. Taking place on Sunday afternoons at 3pm, these performances showcase a vibrant mix of brass, silver, jazz and popular bands—there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

ℹ️ ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Museum is a memorial dedicated to the personnel of the 306th Bomb Group who operated from Thurleigh during WW2, as part of the Eighth Air Force 40th Combat Wing, 1st Air Division.
The Museum is an original building formally used by the 306th BG as a Small Arms Ammunition store.
We use it today to display artefacts to re-create the activities and atmosphere of the airfield and surrounding areas during the war years, as well as honour all those that lost their lives.

🌳 THE NATURE RESERVE
The Nature Reserve is open all year round, except 9th-10th May and 10th-11th October 2026.
📖 HISTORY
Nobody is certain of the exact date, but it is likely that a watermill has stood on the site of the current Stotfold Mill beside the River Ivel for over a thousand years and it is certainly one of the oldest recorded buildings in the town. The first written evidence is the mention of four mills in Stotfold in the Domesday book of 1086. One of those four was the currently-named Stotfold Mill.

We are open from 2.30pm to 5.00pm on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays and at other times by appointment.

At present entrance is free but we rely upon donations from visitors to keep the museum open and suggest at least £2.50 per adult.
👨👩👧👦 GROUP VISITS
Parties and special visits can be arranged at any mutually convenient time. Groups of any size or age can be accommodated at a time to suit you by prior arrangement. Group visits can include a guided walk around the village. The cost for a combined walk and museum visit is £6.00 per person.

We welcome small dogs inside the Museum buildings (except the Granary Tea Room) but they must be carried. All guide and assisted dogs are always welcome. Larger dogs can be walked in the grounds but must be kept on leads. Of course, owners are expected to clear up after their dogs.
