We’re excited to welcome Animal Edge and their fantastic mobile petting farm.

Come along between 11am – 2pm (with 11am–12pm dedicated to SEND visitors) and meet a friendly goat along with a selection of small animals – perfect for animal lovers of all ages! 

It’s set to be a brilliant day full of family fun, tasty food, and hands-on animal encounters you won’t want to miss!

We believe that it is our responsibility to re-pay the community for all the support
we’ve enjoyed over 25 years. So we have always made it our responsibility
to help charities with a special offer. We don’t give money but help them to help
themselves by giving them a very special deal on the price of a pitch. We particularly like having the smaller charities with us.  For instance every year a husband and wife raise money for a special school to have an outing and any money left over is used towards much-needed equipment.  Speak to one of our team, or phone us on 07852 70 70 74.

💦 Splashlands, Stanborough Park, Welwyn Garden City - Stanborough Park

💦 Splashlands, located in Stanborough Park North, Welwyn Garden City is a wet and dry play facility which features a paddling river meandering through a splash pad water play area. 

Surrounded by a nautical-themed adventure playground with a large pirate ship and a variety of play equipment for children of all ages. The splash pad has 67 jets that shoot up to 1.5m in the air with pads that activate water sprays when they are jumped on.

🍦FACILITIES
A refreshment kiosk will be open every day between 10:00 - 18:00 serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, and ice creams.

🚻 TOILETS & CHANGING ROOMS
Public toilets and changing facilities, located next to the Splashlands, are be open from 9:00 - 18:00.

🎤 Junior Open Mic - The Cellar Bar, Bedford

🎸 We’ve had some great young musicians perform in our unique underground entertainment venue, so we figured why not offer a dedicated junior open mic session to under 18’s.

Whether you sing, play guitar, drums, or any other musical instrument, or are a band already, you are welcome! It’s a chance for you to perform on a stage in front of an audience with a full pa, drum kit, amps, lighting.

Hosted by none other than Mat Roberts, a legend of the Bedford music scene.  Mat will be on hand to offer support and advice, as well as doing a few jam sessions of his own.

The festivities will be rounded off with our annual historic pub quiz, so come along to put your knowledge to the test!

🐎 MARKET SQUARE
Meet St George and his leading lady on horseback in Market Square, alongside a host of historic characters and a towering dragon on stilts. Don’t miss the interactive performance from the Thornycroft Girls, Wonder Women of the War, before the Morris dancers build excitement for the Unifomed Parade.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 GRAND UNIFORMED PARADE: 4-5pm
Come along to the Grand Uniformed Parade and help us celebrate the commitment, time, energy and enthusiasm of our Scouts, Uniformed Youth groups, and the adults who support them. Led by St George on horseback and dancers from SDSD, the parade will conclude with a Service of Thanks and the renewal of pledges — a wonderful way to end the celebrations.

🇺🇲 🇬🇧 306th Bombardment Group Museum - Thurleigh, Bedfordshire

🪖 306th Bombardment Group Museum is open on Sunday's only from 26th April - 25th October 2026. Free Entry.

ℹ️ ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Museum is a memorial dedicated to the personnel of the 306th Bomb Group who operated from Thurleigh during WW2, as part of the Eighth Air Force 40th Combat Wing, 1st Air Division.

The Museum is an original building formally used by the 306th BG as a Small Arms Ammunition store.

We use it today to display artefacts to re-create the activities and atmosphere of the airfield and surrounding areas during the war years, as well as honour all those that lost their lives.
