💛 ABOUT BURN CAMPS CHARITY
Burn Camps Charity was established to fund and organise residential camps and day events for young burns survivors, regardless of the severity of burn, ethnic or religious background.
The charity is run entirely on a voluntary basis, with no government funding and no wages paid to members or volunteers. That means every penny donated goes directly towards organising and running these special camps and day events for children and young people.
Our childhood is short enough and every child should have the opportunity to enjoy these years.

🇺🇲 🇬🇧 306th Bombardment Group Museum - Thurleigh, Bedfordshire

ℹ️ ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Museum is a memorial dedicated to the personnel of the 306th Bomb Group who operated from Thurleigh during WW2, as part of the Eighth Air Force 40th Combat Wing, 1st Air Division.
The Museum is an original building formally used by the 306th BG as a Small Arms Ammunition store.
We use it today to display artefacts to re-create the activities and atmosphere of the airfield and surrounding areas during the war years, as well as honour all those that lost their lives.

🌸 Ickwell Green May Day Festival 2026
Time: 10:00 - 15:00
📍IN NORTHILL
May Day 2026 celebrations start in the car park of The Crown Public House, Northill.
▪️11.30 am - Morris Men dance.
▪️12.45 pm - Children assemble with their decorated hoops.
▪️1 pm - The judging of the decorated hoops takes place. The procession is assembled.
▪️1.30 pm - The procession leaves for Ickwell Green - a half mile walk down the village road. This road is closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the procession.
📍AT ICKWELL GREEN
A selection of stalls, refreshments and entertainments are available opposite the Maypole arena from 10 am onwards.
🪑 Seating: Seats in the arena are available from 12 noon. Adults £2, Children under 16 £1.
👑 Crowning: 2 pm Crowning of the 2026 May Queen, followed by dancing by children and adults from within the Parish.
🅿️ FACILITIES
Car parking and toilets are available and there is disabled car parking close to the arena in Ickwell.

Enjoy the 16 super soaking water features ranging from gentle mists, spray arches and tipping buckets to spray shooter cannons. The Splash Park is designed to be enjoyed by children of all ages from 2 years to 10 years.
Those who are older are asked to act responsibly for the safety of all.
Please note, the Splash Park will have 10 minute intervals where the water will stop to ensure water safety quality checks, why not take this opportunity to refresh at the Splashside Cafe.
