We believe that it is our responsibility to re-pay the community for all the support
we’ve enjoyed over 25 years. So we have always made it our responsibility
to help charities with a special offer. We don’t give money but help them to help
themselves by giving them a very special deal on the price of a pitch. We particularly like having the smaller charities with us. For instance every year a husband and wife raise money for a special school to have an outing and any money left over is used towards much-needed equipment. In 2026, we celebrate 50 years of colour, culture, community and creativity with our GOLDEN CARNIVAL. The 50th year of the Luton International Carnival is a precursor to the ‘big one’, at Carnival 2026 (LIC26), when Luton Carnival, in its modern form, turns 50 years old. 2026 also coincides with Luton Borough Council’s own 100 year birthday.

ℹ️ ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Museum is a memorial dedicated to the personnel of the 306th Bomb Group who operated from Thurleigh during WW2, as part of the Eighth Air Force 40th Combat Wing, 1st Air Division.
The Museum is an original building formally used by the 306th BG as a Small Arms Ammunition store.
We use it today to display artefacts to re-create the activities and atmosphere of the airfield and surrounding areas during the war years, as well as honour all those that lost their lives.
