🏛 HISTORY OF SHUTTLEWORTH HOUSE

Shuttleworth House was designed by the prominent Victorian architect Henry Clutton and is a real treasure trove of opulence, with many fantastic artefacts to see.

Parking is separate from the main visitor attraction and will be located on the Parkland by Shuttleworth House. Please follow parking signage on the day.

Dogs are sadly not permitted inside Shuttleworth House, Swiss Garden or Collection Hangars but are welcome outside for a walk around the parkland and house grounds. Assistance dogs welcome.

🎊 Walsworth Festival 51st 2025 - Hitchin

🎊 FREE ENTRY -  The Walsworth Festival in Hitchin was first conceived in the 1950s and organised by the Walsworth Residents’ Community Association at St Faith’s Church. Having gone through a number of different incarnations over the years, the festival is now run by a small band of local volunteers, and is host to various stalls, events, music, food, and even a car show!

EVENT DETAILS
⭐️ Arena -
In the centre of the festival we have an arena where various exhibitions and acts entertain the crowd.
⭐️ Car Show - There will be a eclectic mix of cars, from true classics, modern classics, and even the occasional supercar.
⭐️ Live Music - A live music stage will playing various genres throughout the day, provided by Todd in the Hole!
⭐️ Food and Drink - A range of world foods will be provided by our friends at Hitchin Street Food; pizza, burgers, currries - including vegan options.

🅿️ PARKING - £3
There will be parking on the day for £3 and will be manned by volunteer marshals. Please use this car park or walk to the event so we can avoid congestion through cars parking on the road.

🏕 Big Camp is back! Join us from 12.00pm on 30 May to 2.00pm on 1 June to camp out overnight beneath Dunstable Downs' famous skies!

Big Camp is the perfect family adventure, offering you the rare opportunity to pitch your tent and camp overnight at the highest point in Bedfordshire. Spend the weekend exploring the Downs in a new light and admiring our vast night-time skies. 

In 2025, we are going bigger and better than ever, with two nights of camping now on offer!
