The Olde Watermill Shopping Village is set in and around an historic Watermill.
There has been a Watermill on the site since 1086 as the Watermill is mentioned in the Domesday book and it is one of the oldest overshot Watermills in the country.
Over the last few years, it has been lovingly restored and is now home to over 20 unique and individual shops as well as the Mill House Restaurant, Tea Room & Cafe, an antique centre, Miller’s Shopping Arcade and a soft play area for the children.

Our 5K grass running trail is open for people training before or after a booked swim, but not outside of these times.

Spending time outdoors is also important for mental health. Being in nature can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and boost overall well-being. Fishing provides a chance to breathe fresh air, enjoy quiet moments, and feel a sense of achievement.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
A fully qualified facilitator and level 2 angling coach with over 30 years of angling experience. They will also provide fishing tackle, bait, etc. Please note that a rod licence to fish will be provided.

🧑‍🎄 Mind BLMK's Mental Elf Festive 5K - Marston Moretaine

🧑‍🎄 We are delighted to announce that Mind BLMK will be hosting their own fundraising event ‘Mental Elf’ on Sunday 30th November 2025.

ℹ️ ABOUT
Mental Elf is a unique event which focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise, but to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. It promotes the benefits of physical activity, connecting with people and doing something to help others. It’s an inclusive and non-competitive event, accessible and open to all ages and abilities, and of course, Christmas fancy dress is very much encouraged!

✨️ EVENT DETAILS
The fundraising event will take place at the beautiful venue of The Forest Centre, in Marston Moretaine to help raise vital funds for Mind BLMK. All proceeds will help fund our key mental health and wellbeing services in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes. Each entrant will receive a victory medal!

⏰️ IS IT A TIMED EVENT ?
No, this is an inclusive community run and won't be timed. You can walk, skip, run or jog, the emphasis is on moving your body and getting out in nature, whilst raising funds for Mind BLMK. Participants are welcome to time their own run, however this won't be tracked by us.

🐶 DOG INFORMATION
Well behaved four legged friends are welcome on short handheld non-extendable leads. Please be mindful of other runners and users of the forest. Only one dog per participant and please don't run with a pushchair and a dog at the same time. Please clean up any poo!

♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
The route is on a main cycle and walking route, some areas may be uneven in places as it is a trail. The surface is flat and gravel. There is step free access throughout the building, with automatic doors into Reception and a baby changing facility/ disabled toilet, with a lift to upstairs.

🅿️ PARKING INFORMATION
Parking will be available on a first come first served basis. There is limited parking so we recommend car sharing where possible. The forest centre has kindly agreed to free parking for participants, you must register your number plate at reception to avoid charges.

🌳 Looking to reconnect with nature - NO KIDS ALLOWED? We'll be creating a space for women of all ages to come together, share, laugh, relax, connect and more.

Each gathering will start with a mindfulness activity to connect you to the space we'll be using, there will be a craft activity, community lunch, refreshments, time to play and a closing circle to send you on your way.

From the Memorial turn into Court Road, go past the church on your right, the school and village hall on your left, keep going past the turning to the Rectory Lane and The Cemetery and you'll find Hartwell Farm / Leisure / Swimming Pool on the left just round the bend. Park in the car park
