Perfect for beginners, this Level 1 Intro to Stand Up Paddleboard Course is a great way to get on the water, build confidence and learn the basics of one of the UK’s fastest growing watersports. Set on a calm stretch of the River Great Ouse, it’s designed to be accessible for most people, with Grade 0 flat water paddling and expert coaching throughout.

Across the three weeks, you’ll cover everything from getting on the water and finding your balance, to turning, steering, simple river journeys and self-rescue skills. There’s also the chance to progress onto further SUP levels afterwards.

🤩 WHAT TO EXPECT

ℹ️ WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Over the 3 weeks, paddlers will cover key introductory skills including forward and backward paddling, turning, steering, support strokes, simple river journeys, capsize drills, self rescue and peer rescue. This course is designed as a stepping stone towards becoming a more confident and independent kayaker.
