To maintain affordable zoo prices and ensure the well-being of our animals, we encourage customers to dine in our tea room or steakhouse during their visit. Keeping our zoo prices low is essential to make it accessible to families with lower incomes.

We strive to be wheelchair accessible. We provide disabled parking next to our farm shop and in front of the steakhouse entrance. Accessible toilets are available in both the steakhouse and tea room. Additionally, we have gravel paths throughout our zoo and woodland walk to facilitate wheelchair access.

All riders need to be 12 months or older to board. Children under 12 years only must wear a life vest, provided. To hire a boat on your own, you need to be over the age of 16.
Riders under the age of 16 must have consent given by a guardian who is with them. Said guardian will need to sign the hire agreement.
▪️HOW MANY PEOPLE PER BOAT?
4 people per boat, this number includes infants & smaller children.
🐶 ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Yes. Please clean up any hair and other dog related 'mess' before you get back to the jetty. Be sure you keep your dog on a lead for the duration of your hire. Wildlife such as swans have priority and should not be distressed by dogs. Life jackets for dogs are not available.
💳 DEPOSIT
A £10 deposit is required in addition on all tariffs. Dont be late back, damage or dirty the boat. Management reserve the right to decline boat hire without reason.

Artists have taken direct inspiration from the cells and microscopic organisms that live inside our bodies, constructing large-scale, playful structures designed to spark curiosity and visual excitement.

They welcome small dogs inside the Museum buildings (except the Granary Tea Room) but they must be carried. All guide and assisted dogs are always welcome.

Community and Culture Celebration is made possible by Milton Keynes Community Foundation. Thanks to its donors MKM are able to run this event for its second year - bringing a free, inclusive festival which celebrates our local diversity and heritage, through hands-on activity, performance, and community interpretation.
🛶 Linslade Canal Festival 2026
Time: 11:00 - 17:00
This free, family-friendly event celebrates the heritage, wildlife and community life of our local waterways, bringing together live entertainment, traditional crafts, canal boats and activities for all ages.
Set alongside the Grand Union Canal and the beautiful lake at Tiddenfoot, the festival offers visitors the chance to explore the area’s rich canal heritage while enjoying a lively summer festival atmosphere.
🪵 WHAT TO EXPECT
Historic boats and canal life
Along the canal towpath you’ll find a colourful display of working, historic and trade boats moored alongside visiting pleasure craft. Many of the boats host traders selling handmade goods and canal-themed gifts, offering a unique glimpse into life on the waterways.
Traditional crafts and demonstrations
Watch skilled craftspeople demonstrate traditional countryside trades such as wood carving, hurdle making, stained glass work and other heritage crafts. These demonstrations highlight the skills and craftsmanship that have long been associated with rural life and canal communities.

Live music and entertainment
Enjoy live music throughout the day from local performers and folk-inspired acts on the main stage. Roaming entertainers and smaller acoustic performances around the park add to the relaxed and friendly festival atmosphere.

Parking is available at Linslade School - £5 per car (cash or card) and accessible parking is available at Cedars School at £2.50 per car.

Accessible parking is available in Cedars School (£2.50 per car) and an accessible courtesy vehicle will provide transport to the festival site throughout the day.
There are some pathways around site which are accessible however due to the nature of the site, some areas are accessed across grass and rougher terrain.
