🎄 Our annual Christmas lights switch-on, Lighting up Luton for Christmas, is returning on Saturday 23 November 2024. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and live music, in partnership with Luton BID and Luton Point.
💙 BLUEY COMES TO LUTON!
Our special guest this year is Bluey, funded by Luton BID.Bluey will entertain families in the lead-up to the switch-on event on Saturday, November 23rd, off St. George’s Square. She will make free personal appearances throughout the day at separate intervals.

In addition, Luton Point will open their Enchanted Forest Grotto on the day from 10am, so that you and your family can:

This year its theme is "A Harpenden Winter Wonderland" and the Town Council has opened the opportunity to join in to even more groups than before, making it an even bigger showstopper at the event. The Pipes and Drums will lead the parade as tradition dictates, closely followed by Santa and his elves. Joining them are stilt walkers and entertainers, Brownies and Rainbows groups, Police Cadets, Harpenden Colts FC, schools, entertainers, musicians, community groups and the cast of this year’s Harpenden Panto.

On Saturday, the Leighton Fun Runners Santa Dash took place from Parson’s Close Recreation Ground with hundreds of Santa’s dashing through the streets of Leighton-Linslade. Our festive markets continued with the Charter Market taking place alongside the Handmade and Craft Market who were joined by Sparky The Robot and local performing groups brining some festive cheer to the High Street.

Morris dancers are often seen around Stony Stratford but if you have missed this experience or want to see them again, you will be treated to a range of different styles and colourful costumes from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Each year we have a wealth of local musical talent performing on the stage in the Market Square normally from about 11.30am to 4.20pm. There is always a good mix of musical genres and this year is no exception.

EVENT DETAILS
🚦The Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour is back for another year in aid of Garden House Hospice Care and promises to be bigger and better than ever, bringing wonderful festive cheer tractor-style a few days before Christmas.
⛄️The convoy of tractors and farm vehicles will be draped in flashing lights, snowmen, snowflakes and Christmas trees. No paintwork will be left untouched as they parade the streets Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin in a sight that is sure to put a smile on the faces of everyone
1️⃣ BALDOCK - 6:00pm - Convoy begins in Clothall Road, Baldock at 6pm making its way through the High Street.
2️⃣ LECTHWORTH - 6:45pm - Arrives via Pixmore Way, Letchworth, circling Broadway Gardens roundabout, onto Eastcheap and Leys Avenue.
3️⃣ HITCHIN - 7:30pm - Leads into Hitchin, ending at St Marys Car Park for the perfect finale of fairground rides, treats and all the thank yous we can offer!

EVENT DETAILS
🚦The Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour is back for another year in aid of Garden House Hospice Care and promises to be bigger and better than ever, bringing wonderful festive cheer tractor-style a few days before Christmas.
⛄️The convoy of tractors and farm vehicles will be draped in flashing lights, snowmen, snowflakes and Christmas trees. No paintwork will be left untouched as they parade the streets Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin in a sight that is sure to put a smile on the faces of everyone
1️⃣ BALDOCK - 6:00pm - Convoy begins in Clothall Road, Baldock at 6pm making its way through the High Street.
2️⃣ LECTHWORTH - 6:45pm - Arrives via Pixmore Way, Letchworth, circling Broadway Gardens roundabout, onto Eastcheap and Leys Avenue.
3️⃣ HITCHIN - 7:30pm - Leads into Hitchin, ending at St Marys Car Park for the perfect finale of fairground rides, treats and all the thank yous we can offer!

The BIG Sing are fresh from performing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2023, where they surprised us with a 350-member flashmob at The London Palladium, with the song ‘Brighter Days’. They received four yesses from the judges and have never looked back! Since then, they have been in demand, singing at concerts, festivals and events across the country. The choir have performed alongside some reputable names already, including Mica Paris, David Grant, Ellie Goulding and the London Community Gospel Choir. They have even sung for Jamie Oliver, toured with Leona Lewis and were the winners of BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year in 2017.
