South Bedfordshire Friends of the Earth first planted native Bedfordshire apple and pear trees in 2011 with the support of Leighton Linslade Town Council and  the Greensand Trust. The area is managed as part of the county wildlife with Stanbridge Meadows so there is long grass and wildflowers for butterflies and hawthorn, blackthorn and bramble bushes amongst the apple trees for birds.

ℹ️ Who runs the National Film & Sci-Fi Museum?
The National Film & Sci-Fi Museum was set up by a trust to become the place to share the knowledge and passion for film and science fiction and preserve the history of some of the nations best loved set pieces. The people who make up the trust have years of experience as collectors, convention organisers and professionals within the film & TV industry.

Chaired by Jason Joiner, the museum is a legacy project that has enabled him to put his lifelong hobby into a public space to share with you all.

How big is the museum?
The museum floor is set in 25,000ft2 which are split into amazing themed areas for the public to enjoy.

How long should I plan for my visit?
You can take as long as you would like looking at the displays but we recommend at least 2 hours to make the most of your visit.

There is no public wi-fi attached to the museum but it has a good network provider signal. Please ensure that any tickets required for entry are downloaded in advance if you do not have a data package.

📖 Come in person to our iconic timber framed building filled with a wealth of objects tracing the history of Ashwell in Hertfordshire from the Stone Age to the Present Day.
