⛺️ CAMPING
We also have public camping available for £25 a night, based on 2 Adults and 2 Children. Camping is avalible from Friday 1st to Tuesday 5th May 2026. (all pitches to be vacated on Monday 5th May) Please click the tent via the event link for  T's & C's and booking forms.

🅿️ PARKING
We have free parking on site and a number of disabled spaces, although these are limited. Just show your blue badge to the parking team and they will direct you.

We're delighted to be working with our co-organiser, ‘Love Local Craft & Food Fayre', to bring you this fabulous event, featuring over 40 stalls to explore. 

Love Local Craft & Food Fayres are located in the front car park & throughout the grounds on the first Saturday of the month
 
🏍 HARLEY DAVIDSON CHAPTER VISIT
And that's not all; we're excited to welcome the III Rivers Harley Davidson Chapter, who will be visiting on the same day. Around 15 stunning motorcycles will be parked in our car park between 11:30am and 12:30pm. A fantastic sight for visitors and photography enthusiasts alike.

✈️ Twinwood Aviation Museum 2026 - Clapham


Time: 10:30 - 16:00

✈️ The museum is open on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays only, from the first Sunday in May to the last Sunday in September.
 
ℹ️ ABOUT
An aviation museum covering the second World War and World War 1 with displays on the RAF and 8th USAAF. Located in the restored Watch Office (Control Tower), the museum showcases a comprehensive collection of photographs documenting Glenn Millers time in the UK.

▪️THE UPPER FLOOR
The upper floor has been meticulously restored to its original wartime configuration, reflecting its history as a RAF night fighter training school. The museum also features an Aviation Museum, boasting an impressive array of artifacts recovered from wartime crash sites, as well as uniforms and memorabilia from World War 2.
We also have a special exhibition on World War 1.

▪️HOME FRONT MUSEUM
Our Home Front display transports visitors back to the 1940's with a recreated street scene and living room.

Additionally, the museum is home to a faithfully reproduced wartime fire station, complete with authentic firefighting equipment. The former armoury houses a unique collection of British and Axis uniforms, equipment, and vehicles including a restored 1/4 scale ME 109 fighter.

▪️SMALL TOY MUSEUM
Our small Toy Museum features a working H0.00 model railway and a selection of
vintage toys.

The NAAFI Tea Room, will be open , serving hot and cold beverages, cakes and snacks during operating hours.

🚂 Buckinghamshire Railway Centre Fun Day 2026

🚂 Join Buckinghamshire Railway Centre for Monday Fun Day, happening on Monday 4th May 2026, 10.30am - 17.00pm.

🤩 WHAT TO EXPECT

Enjoy unlimited steam train rides, children’s activities with Tooting Tots and Cha Char Chimps, and plenty of space to explore across our 25-acre site!

🛤 MINIATURE TRAIN RIDES
We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small £1.50 charge for this per person – under 3s are free.)

☕️ MUSEUM & CAFE
With the museum, café and gift shop all open too, it’s the perfect relaxed family day out.

🐶 DOG INFORMATION
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome everywhere on site and in the train.
Restrictions do apply in the cafeteria serving area.

♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
The site is fully accessible for wheelchair and pushchair users. There are disabled toilets within the museum, miniature railway and Rewley Road visitor centre.

Train rides are available when we are running our MK1 carriages from Platform 4 withing the brake van. Other carriages are inaccessible for wheelchairs so please do contact us before visiting to check what will be running. Please call 01296 655720 for more information.

We are open from 10.30am until 5pm and Thomas runs short train rides all day long, approx. every 20 minutes from 11am-4.30pm (with a break for lunch).

🚂💨 EVENT DETAILS
Hop onboard a train ride with Thomas, a REAL steam engine, also ride with either Percy or Mavis and say hi to Trevor the Traction Engine! Meet Sir Topham Hatt and enjoy storytime and singalongs with him and Sodor Station Sweepers Rusty & Dusty that’ll have the whole family dancing.

Enjoy a traction engine trailer ride, watch the exciting live shows, join in the Thomas & Friends character hunt, have fun with the garden games and keep the beat going in the Music Corner packed with music-inspired fun, plus so much more!

You can also ride our miniature railway, watch the model trains, wander the site and enjoy the tea cup rides – there so much to see and do ALL AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!

Held at Alicia's Coffee, Girtford Bridge, Sandy, popular midweek bike meets bring together bikes, burgers, coffee and a great crowd from 6pm to 9pm. Whether you’re riding in, meeting mates, or just fancy soaking up the atmosphere, everyone is welcome.
