🚂☕️ Mother's Day Afternoon Tea 2025 at Rushden Transport Railway & Museum Buffet Carriage

💝 Treat Mum to a delicious afternoon tea in our 1930's Gresley Buffet Railway Carriage, there will be a selection of delicious sandwiches, scones and cakes and glass of bubbly on arrival. ​Plus every Mum will receive a gift.

🚂 ABOUT:
Located in Rushden's heritage railway station situated in the Old Midland Railway Station of 1894 which once formed part of the Wellingborough to Higham Ferrers branch line. Rushden Transport Railway & Museum is FREE to visit (donations are gratefully received) and has over half a mile of track, a station bar as well as a goods shed.

🅿️ PARKING
There is no parking on the museum side of the site, but normally, on a Saturday parking is available on the opposite side of John Clark Way in our Goods Shed car park. There is also parking available on North Street, NN10 6BU.

♿ WHEELCHAIR USERS
The Museum, all our rooms are fully accessible by wheel/push chair but the buffet car is not accessible due to step up from the platform.

All about our 3-mile line, including what to see.
Our red and blue timetables both offer an overall experience time of 90 minutes, which includes 25 minutes at Stonehenge Works to visit the craft shop and follow the Stonehenge Trail.

ℹ️ ABOUT THE FANCOTT MINIATURE RAILWAY
The Fancott Miniature Railway is the oldest miniature railway situated within the grounds of a public house in the UK. The 7 ¼ inch railway is situated in the gardens of The Fancott Public House, Fancott (near Toddington), Bedfordshire, England. The ¾ mile track is laid in an oval with a triangular junction giving access to the station.

🚂 Haynes Summerfield Miniature Railway 2025


Time: 10:30 - 15:30

🚂 The Summerfield Line will take you between Haynes End Station and Hammer Hill Station.

TIMES
Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:30 (approx.), we close at 16:00.
Steam engines will also be in action as often as we are able.

ℹ️ ABOUT
At Hammer Hill you will have the option of taking a ride on two more of our railways - The Springfield Line from platform 2 and The Winterfield Line from platform 3 - tickets for both are sold at Hammer Hill. 

🥪 PICNIC AREA
The picnic area at Hammer Hill will also be open for you to use, from where you will be able to watch the Garden Line in operation.

☕️ REFRESHMENTS
At Haynes End the Station Buffet will be open for refreshments and picnic tables are available for your use on the grass outside.

We do try to run even when the weather is not at its best, but will have to cease operations should conditions dictate.

🚂 Haynes Summerfield Miniature Railway 2025


Time: 10:30 - 15:30

🚂 The Summerfield Line will take you between Haynes End Station and Hammer Hill Station.

TIMES
Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:30 (approx.), we close at 16:00.
Steam engines will also be in action as often as we are able.

ℹ️ ABOUT
At Hammer Hill you will have the option of taking a ride on two more of our railways - The Springfield Line from platform 2 and The Winterfield Line from platform 3 - tickets for both are sold at Hammer Hill. 

🥪 PICNIC AREA
The picnic area at Hammer Hill will also be open for you to use, from where you will be able to watch the Garden Line in operation.

☕️ REFRESHMENTS
At Haynes End the Station Buffet will be open for refreshments and picnic tables are available for your use on the grass outside.

We do try to run even when the weather is not at its best, but will have to cease operations should conditions dictate.

Except where indicated you do not need to book in advance, merely "turn-up and go". The operation of all railways is subject to the availability of volunteers to run them and the prevailing weather conditions.

🚂 ABOUT:
Located in Rushden's heritage railway station situated in the Old Midland Railway Station of 1894 which once formed part of the Wellingborough to Higham Ferrers branch line. Rushden Transport Railway & Museum is FREE to visit (donations are gratefully received) and has over half a mile of track, a station bar as well as a goods shed.

🅿️ PARKING INFORMATION
There is no parking on the museum side of the site, but normally, on a Saturday parking is available on the opposite side of John Clark Way in our Goods Shed car park. There is also parking available on North Street, NN10 6BU.

♿ WHEELCHAIR USERS & PARKING
The Museum, all our rooms are fully accessible by wheel/push chair but the buffet car is not accessible due to step up from the platform

Disabled parking may be made available on the station side of the site by prior arrangement. Disabled spaces are also available in the Good Shed car park opposite.
