💖 Many of you may know I like to make others feel less lonely at Christmas. So, this year I’m organising a gentle, heart-warming walk to bring us together on Christmas Day at 10:30am.

✨️ Ashridge House Illuminated returns for 2025, ready to light up Hertfordshire with over 20 sparkling light displays - including brand new installations - and a better than ever festive food village, offering visitors this year a truly elevated experience.

Due to last year’s popularity of dog-friendly sessions, dogs will be once again welcome to join their humans on the trail every Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Pups and humans alike will have the opportunity to visit the extended festive Food Village, which promises to deliver a bigger and cosier experience than last year, with even more seasonal favourites, warming drinks, and sweet treats from local traders.

Ten breathtaking light installations transform the night, with every scene surrounding you in festive colour, sound and energy. It’s not just the scale of the lights that will take your breath away, but the thrill of experiencing them from behind the wheel as you follow in the tracks of racing legends.

🛡 Join the grand Knight’s Festive Feast and celebrate the year’s triumphs in true medieval style at Dunstable Downs! As you journey through the trail, find out who plays a part in bringing a medieval banquet to life.

Ho ho ho . . . it's a Santa Swim!! Santa hats must be worn to enter the lake, so make sure to bring a Santa hat along with you to wear or buy one of ours & collect on the day.
This session is for swimmers who are happy & confident with swimming in cold open water and able to swim the distances set. We have two loops available - choose to swim our shorter 75m loop or if you're feeling brave you can enjoy our longer 150m loop.

Fancy treating yourself to a hot drink & bacon or sausage bap after your swim? Our Corner 5 Bar & Restaurant will be open from 11am-2pm with a great selection of hot food & drinks available to buy on the day!

You must complete a Box End Park waiver online & wear a Santa hat to take part. Wetsuits are optional but strongly recommended for extra swim safety.
Note that we are unable to offer refunds on booked sessions however, if you notify us more than 7 working days before your booking, we can help look at re-scheduling your session or providing a credit.
In the event of extreme weather, high winds or flooding, Box End Park may need to cancel a session. In the event of this, we will help you re-schedule your booking or provide a return credit.

✨️ This December 2025, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.
🤩 EVENT DETAILS
This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.
Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery. We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing psychelic colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.
🎉 WHAT'S NEW FOR 2025
For 2025 we're also introducing 13 new light creations inspired by fairy tales, fast reaction games , water and ice. There'll also be a few surprises along the way so be prepared for magic and adventure.
