🤩 WHAT TO EXPECT
Our dedicated team will once again turn our Collection & Garden into an illuminated experience that shows off Shuttleworth in a whole new light (see what we did there?)
Produced entirely in-house, our trail lets you explore Swiss Garden’s quirky features aglow in vibrant colours, with some fun interactive elements and photo-worthy moments.
In the Collection hangars our iconic aircraft, vehicles and machines will be bathed in light, adding to the awesome revere these fantastic machines inspire.
For a unique twist on a winter light trail look no further.
As this is an outside event so warm waterproof protective clothing and footwear is recommended.

Each gathering will start with a mindfulness activity to connect you to the space we'll be using, there will be a craft activity, community lunch, refreshments, time to play and a closing circle to send you on your way.

Who doesn't love a woodland snack? From toasting marshmallows to popping corn, cook over an open fire and enjoy a treat while relaxing.

Take the opportunity to disconnect from the stresses of day to day life, surrounded by the rustling of leaves and bird songs. Take a deep breath and relax.

With our busy lifestyles it can be easy to stay indoors. This session provides the opportunity for you to connect with nature across all seasons.

When inspiration strikes, the opportunity to create something beautiful will be there. From painting to collage, get creative in a natural way.

One of the best parts of the woods is the company. Our groups will bring a sense of community facilitating friendships, laughter and joy.

✨️ Ashridge House Illuminated returns for 2025, ready to light up Hertfordshire with over 20 sparkling light displays - including brand new installations - and a better than ever festive food village, offering visitors this year a truly elevated experience.

Due to last year’s popularity of dog-friendly sessions, dogs will be once again welcome to join their humans on the trail every Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Pups and humans alike will have the opportunity to visit the extended festive Food Village, which promises to deliver a bigger and cosier experience than last year, with even more seasonal favourites, warming drinks, and sweet treats from local traders.

🎩 Step into a scene from a storybook this Christmas as Ware proudly presents its long-established Dickensian Evening this December 2025.
✨️ WHAT TO EXPECT
For one magical night, our historic town transforms into a festive wonderland, where shops welcome you late into the evening and the streets are lined with stalls brimming with handcrafted gifts and delicious seasonal treats.
Streets will be shut from 6pm to 10pm with festivities starting from 6.30pm. Local shops will stay open late for you to peruse and there will be stalls throughout the town for local traders and community groups as well as funfair rides in Amwell End.
🎶 ENTERTAINMENT
This year, we’re turning up the festive cheer with a spectacular increase in entertainment! Alongside the now-traditional, rhythm-filled procession of the Samba Band, you’ll be captivated by High Street performances from dazzling Majorettes and a harmonious choir. And the magic continues indoors, with a programme of music and dramatic performances set within the beautiful and historic backdrops of St. Mary’s Church, Leaside Church, and the Drill Hall.
🎼 TUDOR SQUARE ENTERTAINMENT
We will also have performances in Tudor Square, concluding with the staple of Dickensian Evening Carols performed by Ware Brass.

🛡 Join the grand Knight’s Festive Feast and celebrate the year’s triumphs in true medieval style at Dunstable Downs! As you journey through the trail, find out who plays a part in bringing a medieval banquet to life.

We’ve only gone and secured ONE OF THE BIGGEST LOCAL TRIBUTE ACTS that a Christmas fayre could desire! The one-and-only Queenergy are bringing the best of Freddie, Brian, Roger and John to Baldock town and just in time for the Xmas Tree lights countdown!

After the tree is lit, grab a mulled wine or a beer and enjoy the exceptional acoustic talent of Amber Lilly. One of the most exciting new additions to the local scene, not to be missed.
🎤 G LaRoche’s ‘Sleigh-the-mic’ Karaoke
We finish the proceedings with Karaoke in the beer tent, hosted by the Balstock Dictator himself. Try your hand at some Elton, meat your match on some Meatloaf, why not wing it with Wham! Let’s keep the party going until Christmas Time!!!
