🐞 WHAT TO EXPECT
Enter the wonderful world of minibeasts and take a closer look at the tiny creatures living all around us. This family-friendly Bug Lab is a brilliant chance to explore nature up close, whether you are completely new to bug hunting or would like to improve your wildlife identification skills.
The Greensand Trust team will be joined by members of the Bedfordshire Natural History Society, who will be sharing their knowledge and helping you discover more about the fascinating insects and minibeasts found on site. There will be equipment and guides to borrow, microscopes to peer through and plenty of tips to inspire you to continue bug spotting at home too.

Our Aqua Park is suitable for all ages 6yrs+ and over 1.1m tall. The ultimate outdoor watersports experience for families & groups - climb, leap, bounce & splash your way around both inflatable courses packed with fun obstacles. Explore 2 giant courses during your session (rotating after 30-mins) - twice the fun for the same price! How long will you stay dry?
🧦 Grip socks (or soft-sole water shoes): Optional, but recommended for extra comfort and grip. Socks are available to buy on the day. Wetsuits are also optional, but recommended & can hired on the day or pre-booked.
🏊♂️ Participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres while wearing a buoyancy aid and be comfortable falling into open water.
👨👧👦 Children aged 6-9yrs:
Must be accompanied by an adult on the Aqua Park aged 17yrs+ (1 adult : 3 kids ratio).
👨👦Child Supervision Policy:
For the safety and wellbeing of all guests, children aged 16 years and under must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult (aged 17 years or over) at all times while on site.

Please check-in at least 45 minutes before your session. This gives you time to check-in at reception, kit up & attend the group safety briefing (10-mins before). If you’re running late, we’ll do our best to get you onto your booked session, but this may require re-scheduling to the next available session or day.
🌧 Cancellations & Weather:
All bookings are non-refundable. However, if you notify us more than 7 working days prior to your scheduled session, we’ll be happy to discuss rescheduling your booking or issuing a credit for future use.
In the event of extreme weather conditions - such as lightning, high winds or flooding - Box End Park may need to cancel sessions for safety reasons. Should this occur, we will offer the option to reschedule your booking or provide a credit.

🌼 A beautiful unique garden leading onto the maze. You will get lost!
🛝 Play equipment such as toddler cars, toddler slides.
🥪 A picnic area with a couple of benches, as there are were only a few it might be worth taking a blanket to sit on which we did.

The maze itself isn't suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs as it can be quite narrow inparts and has uneven ground.

Set at Page’s Park Station, this popular two-day event transforms the engine shed into a lively festival venue, with plenty happening across three sites along the railway line. It’s a great choice if you fancy a relaxed summer day out with friends, a unique local festival atmosphere and the chance to enjoy heritage trains at the same time.

🛶 Linslade Canal Festival 2026

This free, family-friendly event celebrates the heritage, wildlife and community life of our local waterways, bringing together live entertainment, traditional crafts, canal boats and activities for all ages.
Set alongside the Grand Union Canal and the beautiful lake at Tiddenfoot, the festival offers visitors the chance to explore the area’s rich canal heritage while enjoying a lively summer festival atmosphere.
🪵 WHAT TO EXPECT
Historic boats and canal life
Along the canal towpath you’ll find a colourful display of working, historic and trade boats moored alongside visiting pleasure craft. Many of the boats host traders selling handmade goods and canal-themed gifts, offering a unique glimpse into life on the waterways.
Traditional crafts and demonstrations
Watch skilled craftspeople demonstrate traditional countryside trades such as wood carving, hurdle making, stained glass work and other heritage crafts. These demonstrations highlight the skills and craftsmanship that have long been associated with rural life and canal communities.

Live music and entertainment
Enjoy live music throughout the day from local performers and folk-inspired acts on the main stage. Roaming entertainers and smaller acoustic performances around the park add to the relaxed and friendly festival atmosphere.

Parking is available at Linslade School - £5 per car (cash or card) and accessible parking is available at Cedars School at £2.50 per car.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
Accessible parking is available in Cedars School (£2.50 per car) and an accessible courtesy vehicle will provide transport to the festival site throughout the day.
There are some pathways around site which are accessible however due to the nature of the site, some areas are accessed across grass and rougher terrain.
