First stop is a visit to Buffer and Stoker in their Engine Shed. These clever Elves will help you design your own Santa Express decoration to take home with you whilst entertaining you with jokes and fun.
๐ฆMAGICAL REINDEER FOOD
Full steam ahead to the Junction Shed to meet Mr P the Station Master. He has just received a delivery of Christmassy letters from Rudolph, one for every child, and your magical reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve. Mr P the Station Master will also help you make your own special wish upon a star.
๐CHRISTMAS RIDE
Conductor, the Elf will then lead the way and give each a child a ticket for Santaโs special Christmas ride.
๐ MEET SANTA
At the end of the Station you will find Santa and Mrs Claus in their cosy sitting room, where Santa will have a story for you and a present for each child, enjoy your own special time with him and there will be the opportunity for you to take that memorable photograph.

Wrap up warm and step outside onto the North Pole Station and climb aboard The Santa Express for more magical photographs. Start your journey with our family-friendly pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, in our festive Visitor Centre. Enjoy your performance and then make your way to the Booking Hall to board the steam train.
๐ NEXT TRAIN RIDE & MEET FATHER CHRISTMAS - KEEP YOUR GOLDEN TICKET!

You will be shown to your compartment where you will be visited by Father Christmas, who makes his way along the train to present a special golden ticket to all the children.

On a winter day you may find the zoo area paths are muddy, with some gravel paths and grass, so it maybe hard to push a wheelchair in places. There is a wooden slat ramp to the Tropical house.

There is wheelchair access through the front doors of the theatre, and automatic foyer doors. There is level access to the entrance of the Alban Arena via the slope. We do not have automatic doors aside from the entrance.

The Major Glenn Miller Army Air Forces Orchestra broadcast from seven Bedford locations including the Corn Exchange. โญ๏ธThe Museum cafรฉ is also open to non-Museum visitors.
๐WHERE I CAN FIND THE CAFE
The Museum cafe is on the lower ground level. Enter the cafe from our Akeman Street Car Park, by using the lift or by going round the outside of the building. To get to the cafe from the car park you have to go down two steps or a short slope. The cafe doors are 138cm wide. There are male and female toilets outside the cafe within 10 metres. To get to these toilets you have to go up one step. Both male and female toilets have baby changing facilities.
