First stop is a visit to Buffer and Stoker in their Engine Shed. These clever Elves will help you design your own Santa Express decoration to take home with you whilst entertaining you with jokes and fun.
🦌MAGICAL REINDEER FOOD
Full steam ahead to the Junction Shed to meet Mr P the Station Master. He has just received a delivery of Christmassy letters from Rudolph, one for every child, and your magical reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve. Mr P the Station Master will also help you make your own special wish upon a star.
🚂CHRISTMAS RIDE
Conductor, the Elf will then lead the way and give each a child a ticket for Santa’s special Christmas ride.
🎅MEET SANTA
At the end of the Station you will find Santa and Mrs Claus in their cosy sitting room, where Santa will have a story for you and a present for each child, enjoy your own special time with him and there will be the opportunity for you to take that memorable photograph.

Start your journey with our family-friendly pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, in our festive Visitor Centre. Enjoy your performance and then make your way to the Booking Hall to board the steam train.

You will be shown to your compartment where you will be visited by Father Christmas, who makes his way along the train to present a special golden ticket to all the children.

On a winter day you may find the zoo area paths are muddy, with some gravel paths and grass, so it maybe hard to push a wheelchair in places. There is a wooden slat ramp to the Tropical house.

There is however uneven ground and no hard standing in the woodland areas. If it rains, it may get muddy, and access may be difficult in this area. Four-wheel drive buggies are advisable. If you have access requirements and the day you have purchased for has adverse weather, then please contact us and we will amend your booking for a future date.
The food village will be accessible as well as wheelchair user friendly. Disabled parking is free and toilet facilities are available.

The Major Glenn Miller Army Air Forces Orchestra broadcast from seven Bedford locations including the Corn Exchange. We're commemorating the man, his music and his connections with Bedford in a full weekend of events hosted by May Blossom and Bedford Borough Council.

A beautifully decorated fayre with wooden chalets, festive lighting and Christmas trees. We’ll have a variety of festive food options, including:

Monday to Friday: 10am-7pm,
Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 9pm.
▪️Admission: No booking required and entry is free. There is a small charge of £4 for the Vintage Ferris wheel.

Join the Gingerbread Trail this festive season! Pick up your trail booklet at Customer Services, find the 10 gingerbread characters marked on our map, and jot down their names for a chance to WIN some amazing prizes!
(Aimed at pre and primary school aged children)
🙋♀️ Free to join and no booking required. Complete the trail sheet, drop it back at Customer Services. There's a small treat for everyone who takes part too.

Smiley Sam, Santa and their elves are ready to visit a street near you this Christmas! So make sure you listen out for the festive tunes, Christmas cheer and look out for our friendly volunteers.
