WHAT FUN TO EXPECT?
Make an afternoon of it and enjoy the family festivities on offer from 10am.
π STALLS - Christmas themed arts and crafts stalls will be on untill 7pm!
β³οΈ CHRISTMAS CRAZY GOLF - takes place on inside the Harpur Sweet from 12pm - 7pm, with fun and laughs for all.
πΈ FREE PHOTO BOOTH - Head to the Christmas Photo Booth in Harpur Square between 12pm & 7pm outside boots where you can have a FREE photo of your group or family.
π SANTA - Remember to keep a look out for Santa! The jolly man himself will make an appearance in the Harpur Centre!

And from 12pm the Love Bedford Stage in Harpur Square will also come alive, with a wonderful selection of live performances from local bands, singers, school choirs and dancers performing all day.

At 5pm itβs time for Mayor Tom Wootton to press the button and illuminate Bedford. Laura then leads us in a sing-along to some favourite Christmas tunes. And to keep the party going, local radio presenter Steven Gordon-Wilson takes over to spin some classic Christmas tunes to get you βrockinβ around the Christmas treeβ untill 6:30pm.

β¨οΈ For those who have never experienced it before, Stonyβs Christmas Lights Switch-On, together with a magical family day of Christmas fun, is one of the best around! Every Christmas, Stony Stratford glitters and shines with enchanting, twinkling lights, and excitement builds as the festive season is officially switched on at 5pm following a full day of activities for the whole familyβ¦
π FUNFAIR:
Funfair rides are a regular feature of Stony Lightβs Fun Day both on the High Street and in the Market Square.
π STALLS:
We must not forget all the stalls that will be selling their festive wares on the High Street.
π STONY STRATFORD STORY STROLL: STARTING 10:30am
Why not join Red Phoenix as she weaves her stories on a walk around the town starting at 10.30am.
π SANTAβS GROTTO:
We are hoping that Santa will be making a stop off in Stony Stratford as part of his busy schedule to delight the children this year.
π MORRIS DANCING: 10:30am - 3.30pm
Morris dancers are often seen around Stony Stratford but if you have missed this experience or want to see them again, you will be treated to a range of different styles and colourful costumes from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
πΆ WATLING FEST: 11:30am - 4.20pm
Each year we have a wealth of local musical talent performing on the stage in the Market Square normally from about 11.30am to 4.20pm. There is always a good mix of musical genres and this year is no exception.

Lantern procession leaves York House Centre at 4:15

Make some magical memories this Christmas as one of Santa's elves greets you as you arrive and then you will walk through different themes, taking in the sights and sounds on the way to the grotto to be greeted by the man himself where children will be able to chat with Santa and receive a present.

Go past Santaβs Workshop and mailroom on the way where presents get wrapped and letters to Santa are sorted through! Stop off at the Reindeer Food Bar to prepare and bag up some reindeer food to take home ready to leave out on Christmas Eve!

Full steam ahead to the Junction Shed to meet Mr P the Station Master. He has just received a delivery of Christmassy letters from Rudolph, one for every child, and your magical reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve. Mr P the Station Master will also help you make your own special wish upon a star.

Conductor, the Elf will then lead the way and give each a child a ticket for Santaβs special Christmas ride.

On Saturday, the Leighton Fun Runners Santa Dash took place from Parsonβs Close Recreation Ground with hundreds of Santaβs dashing through the streets of Leighton-Linslade. Our festive markets continued with the Charter Market taking place alongside the Handmade and Craft Market who were joined by Sparky The Robot and local performing groups brining some festive cheer to the High Street.

On Friday evening the festive market featuring handmade crafts and gifts, funfair and a stage programme packed full of local acts and performances provided something for everyone before and after the switch on ceremony and fireworks display. The festive food-court in Church Square included freshly made hot street food, perfect for a winter evening!

Santa Dash/Market/Perfomers
On Saturday, the Leighton Fun Runners Santa Dash took place from Parsonβs Close Recreation Ground with hundreds of Santaβs dashing through the streets of Leighton-Linslade. Our festive markets continued with the Charter Market taking place alongside the Handmade and Craft Market who were joined by Sparky The Robot and local performing groups brining some festive cheer to the High Street.

Every Christmas, Stony Stratford glitters and shines with enchanting, twinkling lights, and excitement builds as the festive season is officially switched on at 5pm following a full day of activities for the whole familyβ¦

Funfair rides are a regular feature of Stony Lightβs Fun Day both on the High Street and in the Market Square.

We must not forget all the stalls that will be selling their festive wares on the High Street.
π STONY STRATFORD STORY STROLL: STARTING 10:30am
Why not join Red Phoenix as she weaves her stories on a walk around the town starting at 10.30am.
π SANTAβS GROTTO:
We are hoping that Santa will be making a stop off in Stony Stratford as part of his busy schedule to delight the children this year.
π MORRIS DANCING: 10:30am - 3.30pm
Morris dancers are often seen around Stony Stratford but if you have missed this experience or want to see them again, you will be treated to a range of different styles and colourful costumes from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
πΆ WATLING FEST: 11:30am - 4.20pm
Each year we have a wealth of local musical talent performing on the stage in the Market Square normally from about 11.30am to 4.20pm. There is always a good mix of musical genres and this year is no exception.
