With a Christmas Craft Fair, which will include the usual stalls from Potton groups and organisations, together with Henry Harris’ fairground rides and other entertainment on the stage in the Market Square.
🎅Father Christmas will be in his Post Office from 3.15pm and will have his post box so if you would like to write to him, please remember to include your name and address so he can reply.
🚦The Big Switch-On is at 5pm.

✨️ For those who have never experienced it before, Stony’s Christmas Lights Switch-On, together with a magical family day of Christmas fun, is one of the best around! Every Christmas, Stony Stratford glitters and shines with enchanting, twinkling lights, and excitement builds as the festive season is officially switched on at 5pm following a full day of activities for the whole family…
🎠 FUNFAIR:
Funfair rides are a regular feature of Stony Light’s Fun Day both on the High Street and in the Market Square.
🛍 STALLS:
We must not forget all the stalls that will be selling their festive wares on the High Street.
📖 STONY STRATFORD STORY STROLL: STARTING 10:30am
Why not join Red Phoenix as she weaves her stories on a walk around the town starting at 10.30am.
🎅 SANTA’S GROTTO:
We are hoping that Santa will be making a stop off in Stony Stratford as part of his busy schedule to delight the children this year.
💃 MORRIS DANCING: 10:30am - 3.30pm
Morris dancers are often seen around Stony Stratford but if you have missed this experience or want to see them again, you will be treated to a range of different styles and colourful costumes from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
🎶 WATLING FEST: 11:30am - 4.20pm
Each year we have a wealth of local musical talent performing on the stage in the Market Square normally from about 11.30am to 4.20pm. There is always a good mix of musical genres and this year is no exception.
💡 LANTERN PROCESSION: 4:15PM
Lantern procession leaves York House Centre at 4:15
London Road, High Street, Church Street
then Market Square.
🎄 LIGHT SWITCH ON: 5pm
The lights will be turned on at 5pm on the Market Square, followed by some community carol singing to get the Christmas celebrations off to a fine start!
🐶 ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Please note that it can get very crowded at this time and therefore we advise that people do not bring dogs into a crowded area.

First stop is a visit to Buffer and Stoker in their Engine Shed. These clever Elves will help you design your own Santa Express decoration to take home with you whilst entertaining you with jokes and fun.
🦌MAGICAL REINDEER FOOD
Full steam ahead to the Junction Shed to meet Mr P the Station Master. He has just received a delivery of Christmassy letters from Rudolph, one for every child, and your magical reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve. Mr P the Station Master will also help you make your own special wish upon a star.
🚂CHRISTMAS RIDE
Conductor, the Elf will then lead the way and give each a child a ticket for Santa’s special Christmas ride.
🎅MEET SANTA
At the end of the Station you will find Santa and Mrs Claus in their cosy sitting room, where Santa will have a story for you and a present for each child, enjoy your own special time with him and there will be the opportunity for you to take that memorable photograph.
☃️FOLLOW THE SNOW TRAIL
Wrap up warm and step outside onto the North Pole Station and climb aboard The Santa Express for more magical photographs. The fun doesn’t stop there, follow the snow trail to find Santa’s special Christmas ride and say “hello” to Chilly Elf and the North Pole Snowman, don’t forget the photo opportunities along the way.

Starting mid-September this will be a regular weekly meet-up (outdoors or indoors - if the right place is found), fostering a safe environment and deeper connections that develop over time.

1️⃣ All attending will need a ticket, except under 2’s who are free and don't require a ticket.
- 2️⃣ Ticket entry times are staggered throughout the day. Select the one-hour time slot you wish to arrive, and then feel free to stay as long as you like.
- 3️⃣ Stalls will be set up in our picnic barn, tractor barn and learning barn. Our barns are not heated and several activities will be outside so make sure you wrap up warm.
- 4️⃣ The play area will be closed, but some animal areas will be open for customers to visit.
- 5️⃣ All tickets are non-refundable.

♿️ IS THE TRAIL ACCESSIABLE?
The Light Trail has been designed to be as accessible as possible, a lot of the route is on hard standing paths and is approximately one mile in length. There is however uneven ground and no hard standing in the woodland areas. If it rains, it may get muddy, and access may be difficult in this area. Four-wheel drive buggies are advisable. If you have access requirements and the day you have purchased for has adverse weather, then please contact us and we will amend your booking for a future date.
The food village will be accessible as well as wheelchair user friendly. Disabled parking is free and toilet facilities are available.
🛴 CAN I BRING A SCOOTER, BICYCLE, KIDDY CART?
Unfortunately not. The trail will be too busy and the paths are not suitable.

Come and join us in celebrating Christmas with a delicious Afternoon Tea served in the grand dinning room within the main house, including savoury tarts, pigs in blankets, smoked salmon blinis and a selection of sweet treats. The event takes place inside Wrest Park Mansion House, on the ground floor, and goes into Wrest Park’s grounds. Some of the route may be on uneven terrain or involve steps, but the majority of the trail will be accessible to wheelchairs. The house is not accessible for mobility scooters or electric wheelchairs. There are a number of wheelchairs and mobility scooters available to hire from our reception on: reception.

On Saturday, the Leighton Fun Runners Santa Dash took place from Parson’s Close Recreation Ground with hundreds of Santa’s dashing through the streets of Leighton-Linslade. Our festive markets continued with the Charter Market taking place alongside the Handmade and Craft Market who were joined by Sparky The Robot and local performing groups brining some festive cheer to the High Street.

On the Sunday the festive shopping opportunities were back on the high street, perfect for those looking a unique gift for that loved one. There were also performances from Wendy Sings & LSJ Trio, while Sami Sleigh, Lairy Fairy & The Christmas Puddings alongside some naughty sofa driving Santa’s who filled the market with the sounds of laughter, mischief and mayhem.

🎅 BACK FOR 2024 ... The popular Santa's Grotto Experience is back at Woburn Sands Emporium!
🧝♂️DETAILS
Make some magical memories this Christmas as one of Santa's elves greets you as you arrive and then you will walk through different themes, taking in the sights and sounds on the way to the grotto to be greeted by the man himself where children will be able to chat with Santa and receive a present.
🦌MAKE SOME REINDEER FOOD
Go past Santa’s Workshop and mailroom on the way where presents get wrapped and letters to Santa are sorted through! Stop off at the Reindeer Food Bar to prepare and bag up some reindeer food to take home ready to leave out on Christmas Eve!

A photograph will be taken with Santa and will be available to purchase as an additional extra, either as a print in a presentation folder or a gift item such as a bauble or snow block (subject to availability).
