🎅 Please join us at the Friendly Nettle Cafe for an evening of fun festivities with Father Christmas on Friday 13th December 2024.

The price for this event is £17 per child (which also includes a free mince pie & mulled wine for the adults).
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
This is a group event that will start at 5.30 pm which will last around 1 hour.
🍪 Children will start the evening doing some Christmas crafts- decorating their own gingerbread biscuit to take home and making magical reindeer food for them to sprinkle on Christmas Eve (wildlife friendly we hasten to add!)
🎅 Then it’s time to gather round with the big man himself, whilst he tells the children all about what he and the elves have been up to at the North Pole and finishes by reading a lovely Christmas story.
📸 There will be photo opportunities to snap a picture of your child with Santa.
🎁 Upon leaving they will receive an age appropriate gift that will be personally labelled for them along with the biscuit and reindeer food they made earlier.
🖍AFTER SANTA
We will be staying open until 7.30pm you’d like to stay a while after. We will have Christmas themed colouring sheets and pencils that the children can help themselves too.
☕️ Please note- The bar will be open to purchase drinks and cakes upon arrival but use of the coffee machine & blender will be paused whilst the children are in with Father Christmas due to the noise they create, once the meeting with Santa portion of the experience is over the bar will once again reopen.

🐶 ARE DOGS ALLOWED?
Yes, well behaved dogs are allowed. Please ensure dogs are kept on their lead at all times during your visit.
♿️ IS THE TRAIL ACCESSIABLE?
The Light Trail has been designed to be as accessible as possible, a lot of the route is on hard standing paths and is approximately one mile in length. There is however uneven ground and no hard standing in the woodland areas. If it rains, it may get muddy, and access may be difficult in this area. Four-wheel drive buggies are advisable. If you have access requirements and the day you have purchased for has adverse weather, then please contact us and we will amend your booking for a future date.
The food village will be accessible as well as wheelchair user friendly. Disabled parking is free and toilet facilities are available.
🛴 CAN I BRING A SCOOTER, BICYCLE, KIDDY CART?
Unfortunately not. The trail will be too busy and the paths are not suitable.

Parking for the light trail is £3, with £1 of this going towards the Delapré Abbey Trust.
♿️ Blue badge holders will receive free car parking, please bring your blue badge with you.
Please note during peak periods, there may be times we divert you to our off-site overflow car parks.

Yes, well behaved dogs are allowed. Please ensure dogs are kept on their lead at all times during your visit.
♿️ IS THE TRAIL ACCESSIABLE?
The Light Trail has been designed to be as accessible as possible, a lot of the route is on hard standing paths and is approximately one mile in length. There is however uneven ground and no hard standing in the woodland areas. If it rains, it may get muddy, and access may be difficult in this area. Four-wheel drive buggies are advisable. If you have access requirements and the day you have purchased for has adverse weather, then please contact us and we will amend your booking for a future date.
The food village will be accessible as well as wheelchair user friendly. Disabled parking is free and toilet facilities are available.

Unfortunately not. The trail will be too busy and the paths are not suitable.

First stop is a visit to Buffer and Stoker in their Engine Shed. These clever Elves will help you design your own Santa Express decoration to take home with you whilst entertaining you with jokes and fun.
🦌MAGICAL REINDEER FOOD
Full steam ahead to the Junction Shed to meet Mr P the Station Master. He has just received a delivery of Christmassy letters from Rudolph, one for every child, and your magical reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve. Mr P the Station Master will also help you make your own special wish upon a star.
🚂CHRISTMAS RIDE
Conductor, the Elf will then lead the way and give each a child a ticket for Santa’s special Christmas ride.

At the end of the Station you will find Santa and Mrs Claus in their cosy sitting room, where Santa will have a story for you and a present for each child, enjoy your own special time with him and there will be the opportunity for you to take that memorable photograph.

First stop is a visit to Buffer and Stoker in their Engine Shed. These clever Elves will help you design your own Santa Express decoration to take home with you whilst entertaining you with jokes and fun.
🦌MAGICAL REINDEER FOOD
Full steam ahead to the Junction Shed to meet Mr P the Station Master. He has just received a delivery of Christmassy letters from Rudolph, one for every child, and your magical reindeer food ready for Christmas Eve. Mr P the Station Master will also help you make your own special wish upon a star.
🚂CHRISTMAS RIDE
Conductor, the Elf will then lead the way and give each a child a ticket for Santa’s special Christmas ride.
🎅MEET SANTA
At the end of the Station you will find Santa and Mrs Claus in their cosy sitting room, where Santa will have a story for you and a present for each child, enjoy your own special time with him and there will be the opportunity for you to take that memorable photograph.

Wrap up warm and step outside onto the North Pole Station and climb aboard The Santa Express for more magical photographs. Smiley Sam, Santa and their elves are ready to visit a street near you this Christmas! So make sure you listen out for the festive tunes, Christmas cheer and look out for our friendly volunteers.
