โช๏ธ The De Grey Mausoleum is attached to the mid-15th-century parish church of St John at Flitton, Bedfordshire. It was first built in the early 17th century, before being expanded in 1704.The mausoleum contains a remarkable collection of funerary monuments spanning three centuries.

The mausoleum is attached to Flitton Church, St John the Baptist, Bedfordshire and is accessed via its nave. The Mausoleum is not dog friendly and there maybe some uneven surfaces not suitable for wheelchairs.
๐ง Audio tour: There is an audio tour for the mausoleum and we advise that it is downloaded prior to your visit as the mobile network signal strength in the mausoleum and the church is rather variable - click here for information about the tour and to download it.
๐ ฟ๏ธ Parking: There is no car park at the church but there is limited on-street parking available on surrounding streets.
โน๏ธ Facilities: There are no facilities at the church but there is a pub in the village and more options in either Flitwick or Ampthill.

โ๏ธ The Mill, Shop and Tea Room are open to the public only on the dates below. Flour and oats are milled on open days, water levels permitting. Tea Room last orders 4.30pm.

With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow dogs in the mill. We welcome well behaved dogs in the Nature Reserve and ask that they be kept on leads at all times โ many animals and birds breed or feed on the reserve, at or near ground level at all seasons of the year.

We have had some great feedback from doing this the last two years, as most places seem to be putting their prices up, so we thought we'd do it again this summer.

July 30th and August 3rd, 6th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 27th and 31st...
Summer holiday Steaming Days are generally held on Wednesdays and Sundays from 30th July to 31st August 2025. There are only a couple of dates not included and that is because they are special event days.
๐ WHAT IS A STEAMING DAY?
Come and enjoy steam train rides, watch the model trains, ride the miniature railway, visit our huge Railway Museum and stunning Visitor Centre, plus you can see inside the Travelling Post Office carriages. There are 25 acres to explore! We also have a lovely cafรฉ, gift shop and secondhand book shop. There's so much to see and do for a First Class day out with the kids this summer!
