๐ถ The 2025 Aldbury May Fair is set to be another wonderful celebration of our local area and the fantastic community around Aldbury village school. It is a huge fundraising event, to help support the excellent quality education our children receive at Aldbury Nursery and Primary School and it is exclusively organised by a team of volunteer parents.

๐ Come along and you can expect to discover local crafts, feast on delicious food, enjoy lots of games and groove to live music. Enjoy our traditional maypole dancing, the lively Aldbury Morris Men, and the crowning of the May Queen and King.
๐ป Treat yourself to our local ale, lager, or gin at the bars while the little ones stay amused with quirky childrenโs activities and games.

New for 2025 is Angie the Ankylosaurus, plus, we'll have a whole host of other dinosaurs, which we will confirm nearer the time, but in the past we've had a T-Rex, Triceratops, Brontosaurus, Spinosaurus, Velociraptor and a selection of baby dinosaurs!
They will be appearing on the grass outside the visitor centre throughout the day, offering visitors the chance to meet these amazing animals up close.

This is an amazing family day out for all. From the steam Engines to classic cars, bouncy castles to the wall of death, a traditional hog roast to Chinese stir fry. We try to have something for everyone. Come along and take a look.

๐ Ickwell May Day Festival 2025

๐ Ickwell May Day Festival is an annual celebration on the first May bank holiday. Dancers process from Northill to Ickwell to the Maypole where the May Queen crowned. This is followed by traditional country dancing by children and adults from the parish. A selection of stalls, refreshments and entertainments are available.

โช๏ธStarting Point:
The car park of The Crown Public House, Northill.
โช๏ธ11:30 AM: Morris Men perform their dances.
โช๏ธ12:45 PM: Children gather with their beautifully decorated hoops.
โช๏ธ1:00 PM:Judging of the decorated hoops takes place, followed by the assembly of the procession.
โช๏ธ1:30 PM: The procession begins, heading to Ickwell Green (a half-mile walk along the village road).
โ๏ธ Note: The road will be closed to vehicular traffic during the procession.
๐ธ ICKWELL GREEN
โช๏ธ10:00 AM: onwards: A variety of stalls, refreshments, and entertainments will be available near the Maypole arena.
โช๏ธ12:00 PM onwards: Seating in the arena becomes available.
