⭐️ The mill is a working machine not just a building. Care should be taken when moving around the premises as some surfaces are greasy and some have a risk of splinters.
⭐️ There are low beams and trip hazards along with steep, narrow stairs.
⭐️ Only a limited number of people can access the upstairs at a time – so you may have to wait.
⭐️ Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
⭐️ There are no toilet facilities available.

🦕 WHAT TO EXPECT
New for 2025 is Angie the Ankylosaurus, plus, we'll have a whole host of other dinosaurs, which we will confirm nearer the time, but in the past we've had a T-Rex, Triceratops, Brontosaurus, Spinosaurus, Velociraptor and a selection of baby dinosaurs!
They will be appearing on the grass outside the visitor centre throughout the day, offering visitors the chance to meet these amazing animals up close.

Your ticket also includes access around the whole 25-acre site of our heritage railway meaning you can enjoy unlimited passenger train rides behind a full-size steam locomotive, plus, visit the railway museum, visitor centre with gift shop and café, enjoy the model railway, miniature train rides and admire all the exhibits around the site, from the great steam locomotives on display outside or in the sheds, to railway buildings, carriages and wagons from various eras all across the site.

Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:30 (approx.), we close at 16:00.
Steam engines will also be in action as often as we are able.

At Hammer Hill you will have the option of taking a ride on two more of our railways - The Springfield Line from platform 2 and The Winterfield Line from platform 3 - tickets for both are sold at Hammer Hill.
The picnic area at Hammer Hill will also be open for you to use, from where you will be able to watch the Garden Line in operation.
At Haynes End the Station Buffet will be open for refreshments and picnic tables are available for your use on the grass outside.

These younger members of the community will:
✨️ Make and decorate garlands and headdresses,
✨️ Get glitter tattoos etc ready for party celebrations
✨️ Each child will receive a small basket of treats
✨️ Singing
✨️ Storytelling
✨️ Painting the canvas depicting The Spirit of Ampthill.
📍LOCATION
Ampthill VE80 Children’s Mayday event to be held in the Nottingham Performance area,(NPA) Ampthill Great Park.

Pre-booking is essential tickets £5 per child. Tickets can be booked via the event link.
