🚂 The Summerfield Line will take you between Haynes End Station and Hammer Hill Station.

TIMES
Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:30 (approx.), we close at 16:00.
Steam engines will also be in action as often as we are able.

ℹ️ ABOUT
At Hammer Hill you will have the option of taking a ride on two more of our railways - The Springfield Line from platform 2 and The Winterfield Line from platform 3 - tickets for both are sold at Hammer Hill. 

🥪 PICNIC AREA
The picnic area at Hammer Hill will also be open for you to use, from where you will be able to watch the Garden Line in operation.

☕️ REFRESHMENTS
At Haynes End the Station Buffet will be open for refreshments and picnic tables are available for your use on the grass outside.                           
🌧 WEATHER INFORMATION
We do try to run even when the weather is not at its best, but will have to cease operations should conditions dictate.

❓️ DO I HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Except where indicated you do not need to book in advance, merely "turn-up and go". The operation of all railways is subject to the availability of volunteers to run them and the prevailing weather conditions.

This time we are growing into the Hertfordshire County Showground, with easy links to the M1 so great for all to attend with your modified, supercar, classic or otherwise. A great day out on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May 2025 for all, whether you have a showcar or with to spectate!

💦 FREE FAMILY FUN
Enjoy the 16 super soaking water features ranging from gentle mists, spray arches and tipping buckets to spray shooter cannons. The Splash Park is designed to be enjoyed by children of all ages from 2 years to 10 years.

Those who are older are asked to act responsibly for the safety of all.
Please note, the Splash Park will have 10 minute intervals where the water will stop to ensure water safety quality checks, why not take this opportunity to refresh at the Splashside Cafe.

When driving to Bennett’s Splash, please park in Ashton Square Car Park located off Bull Pond Lane, LU6 3BE.
The Splash Park is a minute walk from here, into Bennett Memorial Recreation Ground. Please take care when crossing the road.
ASHTON SQUARE CAR PARK is owned and operated by Central Bedfordshire Council. Please check the machines for chargeable days and hours.

Explore Pitstone Museum's vast array of attractions, boasting over 40 unique exhibits. From captivating model railways to the clang of a working Blacksmith, from vintage game consoles to historic farm machinery, and from the impressive workings of a Rack Saw to the mighty 28-liter Crossley Gas Engine - there's something for everyone.

Step into the past and experience firsthand activities like lacemaking and pottery or embark on an adventure on our Tractor to Pitstone Windmill.

With the Museum only open to the public nine times a year, our team of approximately 50 dedicated volunteers are on hand to ensure your visit is both educational and enjoyable.

🎊 Ickwell May Day Festival 2025


Time: 10:00

🎊 Ickwell May Day Festival is an annual celebration on the first May bank holiday. Dancers process from Northill to Ickwell to the Maypole where the May Queen crowned. This is followed by traditional country dancing by children and adults from the parish. A selection of stalls, refreshments and entertainments are available.

🌸 IN NORTHILL
▪️Starting Point:
The car park of The Crown Public House, Northill.
▪️11:30 AM: Morris Men perform their dances. 
▪️12:45 PM: Children gather with their beautifully decorated hoops. 
▪️1:00 PM:Judging of the decorated hoops takes place, followed by the assembly of the procession. 
▪️1:30 PM: The procession begins, heading to Ickwell Green (a half-mile walk along the village road). 

⛔️ Note: The road will be closed to vehicular traffic during the procession.

🌸 ICKWELL GREEN
▪️10:00 AM: onwards: A variety of stalls, refreshments, and entertainments will be available near the Maypole arena.
▪️12:00 PM onwards: Seating in the arena becomes available.
🔸️Adults: £2
🔸️Children under 16: £1
▪️2:00 PM: Crowning of the May Queen, followed by dances performed by both children and adults from within the Parish.
