The novel explores themes of fate, unfulfilled desire, social constraints, and the power of nature.
Hotbuckle have delighted us over the years with their adaptations of Great Expectations, David Copperfield, Wuthering Heights, Far from the Madding Crowd, les Miserables, Pride and Prejudice and Emma. We are very much looking forward to welcoming them back!

Entry is free and there’s no need to book in advance. If you’d like to drink at the festival bar, you can buy tokens on arrival and pay a deposit for your festival glass.

Starting from 3pm on Thursday 7th May and running through until last orders on Saturday, this popular Biggleswade beer festival is a great one for beer lovers, cider fans and anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed local event with friends.

Set in the historic market town of Biggleswade, the festival is perfectly placed if you fancy exploring more while you’re there. There are shops, restaurants, several pubs within walking distance and a pleasant riverside walk nearby. If you’re travelling by car, Shuttleworth Collection and Garden at Old Warden is also well worth a visit.
