🚂 Steaming Days is when we have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small £1.50 charge for this per person – under 3s are free.

The rest of the site is open including the Railway Museum, the Visitor Centre with Gift Shop and Railway Cafe, and the model trains are usually running too. Our 5K grass running trail is open for people training before or after a booked swim, but not outside of these times.

🕷 Stand beneath the spider stairwell, draped with cobwebs and clinging creatures, look on at the frightful feast laid out in the dining room, and follow the woodcutter trail along the Long Gallery this spooky season. Those brave enough to venture into the basement will find flickering candlelight casting dancing shadows on the walls.

Halloween Haunt Fest is a recommended 16+ event. Due to the nature of the event and level of scare, the event is not recommended to anyone under the age of 16.
