A brand new, bespoke Children's Play Area Heron's Hangout is now open for 2025! Perfect for young adventurers (ages 7+), Heron's Hangout includes nature-inspired play equipment where kids can climb, balance and explore in a safe outdoor setting.

๐ Camping ticket holders and traders can arrive on the Thursday from 8am until 8pm, and on Friday from 8am to 8pm. On Saturday, campers can arrive at 10am. The campsites will close at midday on Tuesday.
๐ซ Day ticket holders gates will open from 10.30am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Clapham, just outside Bedford, this festival is a unique homage to the music and culture of the 1930s to 1960s. With its origins rooted in the legacy of Glenn Miller, Twinwood Festival has grown into one of the most beloved vintage music festivals in the world.
The festivalโs location is steeped in history. Twinwood Airfield was once a significant RAF base during World War II and is famed as the last place Glenn Miller was seen before his disappearance in 1944. There is something for everyone with a fashion show, childrenโs entertainment, cabaret, and comedy.

๐ Dancing lessons: Twinwood offers a wide range of FREE dance lessons during the festival to get you up and on those dance floors! In addition to our vast array of live music, Twinwood Festival also hosts a large number of trader stalls, displays and museums, showcasing or selling all things vintage, from fashion and hairstyling, to arts and antiques, to motors and militaria. During Twinwood Festival on the August Bank Holiday weekend, the museums will be open exclusively to festival-goers, for the duration of the festival, free of charge.

Camping visitors may bring well behaved pet dogs into the campsites. Dogs are not permitted onto any other area of the showground other than in the Twinwood campsites. Public footpaths are nearby for exercising dogs. Owners must bring equipment to clean up after their dogs. Please keep dogs on leads at all times. Ensure male dogs are kept well away from other peoples tents and property to avoid any risk of leg cocking accidents! Owners of a dog causing a nuisance or irritation to others may be asked to leave the site.
Day visitors should not bring dogs, as they are not allowed onto the showground or in any of the venues.

There are many acres of free car parking at Twinwood Airfield, and a free shuttle bus service is provided to all visitors between the main Arena and the North West Car Park. Visitors are welcome to bring their folding chairs, etc onto the bus, and this free service means that whilst the distance between the car parks and main Arena is only about 360 metres, there are no long walking distances required at all.
โฟ๏ธ BLUE BADGE PARKING
There are two disabled car parks, one for non-wheelchair users, who are able to use the bus to the Main Arena entrance, and one for wheelchair users who are unable to use the bus.

Warning! Some Sat Nav systems will send you on a wild goose chase as you near Clapham!
The crucial thing to remember is that you can ONLY access the festival site via Twinwood Road, which in turn can ONLY be accessed from a roundabout on Milton Road in the village of Clapham, Bedfordshire.

Wander onto the village green and discover Moot Hall - a registered Ancient Monument. This delightful 15th century timber-framed building is unique, being the only known combined manor courthouse & market hall to have been built in Britain by a nunnery.
As well as Bunyan-related items, Moot Hall houses a collection of 17th century furniture and various small exhibitions, including beautiful Bedfordshire lace-making. (Which you can purchase here.) Moot Hall is run by a small team of volunteers, all of whom are knowledgeable about its history, so don't hesitate to ask them questions.

โBring the family, perhaps have a picnic on the green. Follow that with a stroll around the ancient timber-framed buildings on Elstow's High Street and the Abbey church and ruins of the former Benedictine nunnery. Then round off your visit with a cuppa at the delightful Elstow Tea Garden or at Elstow Post Office's Cottage Tea Room or the Red Lion Pub (A Sizzling pub).
โฟ๏ธ DISABLED ACCESS
There is one parking space at Moot Hall exclusively reserved for Blue Badge Holders.
Access to the upper floor of Moot Hall is via a flight of fairly steep stairs but there is a chair-lift. There are some raised beams in the downstairs floor which you will need to be able to step over and one bay may not be accessible to wider wheelchairs. Sorry, but Moot is, after all, an authentic medieval building!

โThere is a small car park adjacent to Moot Hall - only for people visiting the museum. - and this may be accessed from Church End. There are also three spaces in a small lay-by on Church End, opposite Moot Hall. Also at the Abbey Church, which is at the western end of Church End, and a large car park at The Red Lion Pub.

There is one parking space at Moot Hall exclusively reserved for Blue Badge Holders.
Access to the upper floor of Moot Hall is via a flight of fairly steep stairs but there is a chair-lift. There are some raised beams in the downstairs floor which you will need to be able to step over and one bay may not be accessible to wider wheelchairs. Sorry, but Moot is, after all, an authentic medieval building!

โThere is a small car park adjacent to Moot Hall - only for people visiting the museum. - and this may be accessed from Church End. There are also three spaces in a small lay-by on Church End, opposite Moot Hall. Also at the Abbey Church, which is at the western end of Church End, and a large car park at The Red Lion Pub.

Get ready for a unique shopping experience this August Bank Holiday! The Roving Canal Traders Association's Floating Market is bringing a splash of colour and a treasure trove of goodies to the Grand Union Canal.
From 10am to 5pm each day, the canal between Blue Bridge and Childs Way Bridge, near Campbell Wharf, will be abuzz with narrowboats selling a delightful array of wares.
Milton Keynes, a new town built in the 1960s, is intertwined with the Grand Union Canal, a vital transport link during the industrial revolution. Today, the canal offers a scenic backdrop for leisure and recreation.

The charcuterie is of course organic, from our friends at Haye Farm in Devon who also supply the delicious lamb and beef for our burgers. The veggie burger is a stunning stack of halloumi, mushroom and pepper. Itโs time for a slice of summer.
