🏊‍♂️ Nestled within breathtaking parkland and surrounded by the calming sounds of nature, Waresley Park Estate offers a beautiful setting for wild and open water swimming.

▪️AGES:
All attendees must be over 14 and under 18's must be supervised by an adult.

💦 ABOUT:
Our wild swimming experience is perfect for solo adventurers, couples, and families alike. Whether you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life or simply want to try something new, our experienced and friendly team (including an open water lifeguard) will be on hand to help you make the most of your time in the water.

PLEASE NOTE:
▪️If you’re new to wild swimming and planning to start in the cooler months, we recommend you attend our ‘Introduction to Cold Water Swimming’ Course.
▪️Tow-floats are always required.
▪️Please note dogs are not allowed at the lake. Thank you for your cooperation.

60-minute Wild Swimming (swim only) session £10. All sessions include a hot drink by the fire pit. You can book via the event link, you will find different session times available.

😌 SWIM & SAUNA SESSIONS: £30pp

❓️QUESTIONS
▪️Do you have changing facilites?

We do not have changing facilities at the moment, but they are coming soon. Many swimmers opt to change underneath their dry robe, or you can change in the Tipi if its available.
▪️Do I need to bring my own two float?
We have some tow floats available to borrow if you don’t have your own.

▪️What if the weather is bad?
We will still run wild swimming sessions in the rain, however for safety reasons the session might be cancelled during adverse weather conditions like thunderstorms and gale force winds. 
▪️Are there toilets at the lake?
We have one portaloo at the lake. The nearest other toilets are at Bean Theory, our on-site coffee shop (approx. 10 minute walk up the hill)
▪️What should I wear for wild swimming?
Everyone is different, so please feel free to wear what feels comfortable for you, be it a swimsuit or wetsuit.  Water shoes or socks can be helpful on the lake floor. Please also bring a towel and warm clothes.

🗺 GETTING TO THE LAKE:
On arrival at the estate, please follow the signs to the Bean Theory Car park. Once parked, walk down the gravel track on your left, below the vineyard. After a 5-minute stroll through the estate, your lifeguard will be at the lake to meet you.

Bradwell Mill Opening Day - Free Entry

Bradwell Mill is a Grade II listed landmark and is open to the public on selected days throughout the year, when the mill can be seen in action.

It is a rare opportunity to better understand what life was like as a miller – complete with all the associated smells, noise and dust!

🚂 Steaming Days at The Buckingamshire Railway Centre

🚂 Steaming Days is when we have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small £1.50 charge for this per person – under 3s are free.

ℹ️ ABOUT
The rest of the site is open including the Railway Museum, the Visitor Centre with Gift Shop and Railway Cafe, and the model trains are usually running too. Steaming Days are most Sundays (Easter-Halloween), and also some Bank Holidays and some Wednesdays during school holidays. We have 25-acres of Railwayland to explore! Come and enjoy your local heritage railway!

🌳 Learn about the ancient origins of the park all the way up to the modern era. On your walk, discover hidden gems such as the Veteran Lime Tree, Doric Seat and Ha-ha, which survive from the 18th century English Landscape Garden design of the park and have been recently revealed, revived and restored as part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project.

😍 FREE: This walk is free but donations to the Friends of Great Linford Manor Park are welcome. No booking is required, just turn up and enjoy!

on the second Friday of the month at 10:30
and on the last Sunday of the month at 14:00.
