🎊🏁 Dunstable’s Soapbox Derby 2025 at Priory Gardens

🏎 Get ready for an exhilarating day of speed, creativity, and community spirit as Dunstable hosts its very first Soapbox Derby to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Town Council!
This fun-filled event is perfect for families, businesses, and local groups who want to take on the challenge and be part of Dunstable history!
🎊 WHAT TO EXPECT
As well as the exciting racing, there will also be a giant screen broadcasting the race, plus films shown on the day. Spectators can also enjoy live entertainment, stalls, and onsite bar and catering facilities.
🏁100 METRE TRACK
The Soapbox Derby will see competitors race down our 100m track, leaving from a bespoke ramp to really get you flying. It is completely free to enter, we are looking for businesses, schools, community groups, charities plus friends and families to come together to build your own custom kart. You can even try and get sponsors to raise funds for your kart build.
There are two categories
▪️Juniors 8-17 yrs
▪️Seniors 18+ yrs.
On the day the winners will be overall fastest time in each categories and best presented. We want to see speed but also creativity and fun within the teams and karts. So go wild with your designs.

This screening will be on headphones: immerse yourself in the open air on the big screen. Please note that this is a 15 rated film.

You can bring your own food & drink. Please be mindful of bringing glass. We will have food and drinks available at each venue and we are proud to always ensure that we have a vegetarian and gluten-free option available.

It is possible to bring your own gazebo/tent however we do ask that these are set up towards the rear of the viewing area as not to obstruct anyone in the audience. If you would like to bring along your own chair or beanbag to any of our events then please do.

If you’d like to smoke or vape at our events we ask that you do so away from the viewing areas. This is usually marked by our yellow flags but at some venues we’re unable to erect these, in those instances please smoke or vape towards the rear of the screening.

It's the perfect way to spend quality time with your friends & family and enjoy the great outdoors - or simply come down to practice your skills & beat your course best! Open from March to December - it's fantastic FUN for all ages!
Enjoy our beautiful lakeside setting as you work your way around our Disc & Football Golf course! You will need to throw your disc into the basket or football into the hole - the exact same as you would do on a golf course! Your round should take around 1 hour to complete. The one who takes the least goes is the winner!

Choose between our 9 Hole Beginner course or take on our 9 Hole Pro route! Feeling up to the challenge - why not combine both?

⏳️HOW MANY TIME SLOTS DO I NEED?
Each time-slot takes up to 4ppl max. teeing off every 10 minutes - so if you have a group of 8ppl you'll need to book 2 consecutive slots!
🕙 ARRIVE 15 MINUTES PRIOR
Please ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked session start time & collect your wristband from our Activities Reception before heading over to our Disc Golf course.

Join our resident lifeguards for two hours' worth of fun and games on our fully covered beach, with a play area suitable for toddlers.
With plenty of seating for the grown-ups to relax, enjoy food and drink whilst the little ones play. This is the perfect summer treat for everyone!
