Chairs, wind breaks and tents are not allowed. Seating will be available around the festival.
As this is a food festival, food and drinks brought from outside the festival will not be permitted, with the exception of baby food and water.
Due to the nature of the event, we unfortunately cannot allow pets - only assistance dogs are welcome.

All of our festivals have blue badge parking close to the event entrance. ⛪️ The De Grey Mausoleum is attached to the mid-15th-century parish church of St John at Flitton, Bedfordshire. It was first built in the early 17th century, before being expanded in 1704.The mausoleum contains a remarkable collection of funerary monuments spanning three centuries.
📍WHERE WILL I FIND THE MAUSOLEUM & OTHER INFO?
The mausoleum is attached to Flitton Church, St John the Baptist, Bedfordshire and is accessed via its nave. The Mausoleum is not dog friendly and there maybe some uneven surfaces not suitable for wheelchairs.
🎧 Audio tour: There is an audio tour for the mausoleum and we advise that it is downloaded prior to your visit as the mobile network signal strength in the mausoleum and the church is rather variable - click here for information about the tour and to download it.
🅿️ Parking: There is no car park at the church but there is limited on-street parking available on surrounding streets.
ℹ️ Facilities: There are no facilities at the church but there is a pub in the village and more options in either Flitwick or Ampthill.

🚂 Steaming Days at The Buckingamshire Railway Centre

🚂 Steaming Days is when we have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small £1.50 charge for this per person – under 3s are free.

The rest of the site is open including the Railway Museum, the Visitor Centre with Gift Shop and Railway Cafe, and the model trains are usually running too. Steaming Days are most Sundays (Easter-Halloween), and also some Bank Holidays and some Wednesdays during school holidays. We have 25-acres of Railwayland to explore! Come and enjoy your local heritage railway!
🐶 DOGS
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome around the site and on the train. The only area they are not permitted is in the cafe.

The Hitchin FoodFest is one of the most popular on the foodie calendar! As well as our local eateries promoting their gastronomic delights, there will be the best in street food and drink, local produce and the ever-popular foodie activities.
Come along for a full weekend of fun and great food from Hitchin and beyond! Back by popular demand we will have our demonstration kitchen and stage on the market place with Hitchin's very own MasterChef cooking dishes from a selection of our town centre food businesses.

The Granary Tea Room will be open for hot and cold snacks. Real ale bar, and ciders
