๐ A FREE A- MAZ-ING HIDDEN GEM IN BEDFORDSHIRE at Roxton Garden Centre! A maze that is free to go too, kids & adults will love it...... if you can find it that is!
๐คSO WHERE IS IT?
This FREE MAZE is located at the wonderful Roxton Garden Centre in Bedfordshire. When you enter the car park you will not see any signposts for it. As you go in the car park facing the garden centre turn right, then turn left as if you are heading for a dead end, it may seem like you are heading for the delivery entrance but there you will see trees on your right and a sign in front of you 'Roxton Maze'.
The maze is located next to the garden centre in a spacious field with a few benches to sit on. At the moment it is being trimmed back due to some hanging branches, we had to duck and dive a few times but it added to all the fun we had.
โฟ๏ธ IS THE MAZE SUITABLE FOR PUSHCHAIRS OR WHEELCHAIRS?
I would say it is NOT suitable as there are branches, some on the floor and hanging low, some spaces may not be big enough to venture through and also the surface may not be suitable in my personal opinion. It can get muddy too.
๐WHEN IS THE MAZE OPEN?
The Maze is open the same time when the Garden Centre is open. The details are below.
Please beware they may close the maze at anytime due to maintenance, so it maybe a good idea to contact them before planning your trip to avoid disappointment.

The garden centre is wheelchair friendly and dog friendly. You can buy things from plants, to clothes, to toys. Definitely worth a look!

The cafe has hot and cold food and drink options at reasonable prices. There is a kids menu and an indoor & outdoor space with unmbrellas to sit in the sun and relax amongst the outdoor flower section of the Garden Centre. Dogs are allowed but they are not allowed in the main restaurant area. Just ask staff if you are not sure, they will be happy to help. They do a great carvery on a Sunday, you may need to book for this as it can get quite busy serving between 11:30 - 3:30pm.

In a nutshell, a sniff-ari is a walk where your dog is permitted โ and encouraged โ to explore his environment with his nose. Itโs an on-lead exploration
You let your dog set the pace and the direction. We encourage you to allow them to explore their environment and what interests them. Weโve then dropped our Easter Eggs along the way to keep the humans entertained!

The trail is under 1km long and follows a circular route that both starts and ends at the Watersports Centre. Along the way, children will get to answer questions and be treated to a selection of Easter and Spring themed jokes that are sure to bring a smile. Itโs a great way for families to stretch their legs and enjoy a fun activity together.

๐ถ We've been at it, replicating our old fleet to bring you this brand new, unique and special design of dragon style boats, iconic to Bedford boating lake.

All riders need to be 12 months or older to board. To hire a boat on your own, you need to be over the age of 16. Riders under the age of 16 must have consent given by a guardian who is with them. Said guardian will need to sign the hire agreement. Management will asses each group individually with a view on safety and suitability and have the right to decline hire based on this.

Yes. Please clean up any hair and other dog related 'mess' before you get back to the jetty. Be sure you keep your dog on a lead for the duration of your hire. Wildlife such as swans have priority and should not be distressed by dogs. Life jackets for dogs are not available.

๐ The farm will be open again during the peak Lambing Season during the Easter period.
Visitors can hold the lambs and see a modern sheep farm at work. With over 2000 sheep to give birth, it is a great chance to see lambs being born, taking their first few steps and suckling their mothers for the first time.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ง What is there to do at the farm?
There is something for everyone, from pony & tractor rides to wool spinning, painting, bouncy castle, lamb cuddles, face painting or just watching the ewes and lambs. Wellies might have to be worn as it can get quite muddy.

During April we have over 500 ewes to lamb so it is very likely that you may witness one being born during the day.

We donโt advertise feeding times as there are not enough lambs for everyone to feed, but if your lucky you may be in the right place at the right time!
๐ญ Can I buy food and drink?
We sell hot & cold drinks and homemade cakes. The BBQ has locally sourced burgers and sausages. Cash only is required to purchase.
โฟ๏ธ Is the site wheelchair friendly?
We offer disabled parking and most the site is concreted. It is easy to get around the lambing shed and see the attractions.
