Parking at Dunstable Downs costs £3.50 for a day for non-National Trust members and is free for National Trust members. Blue badge holders can also park for free. Our dedicated team will once again turn our Collection & Garden into an illuminated experience that shows off Shuttleworth in a whole new light (see what we did there?)

Produced entirely in-house, our trail lets you explore Swiss Garden’s quirky features aglow in vibrant colours, with some fun interactive elements and photo-worthy moments.

In the Collection hangars our iconic aircraft, vehicles and machines will be bathed in light, adding to the awesome revere these fantastic machines inspire.

For a unique twist on a winter light trail look no further.

As this is an outside event so warm waterproof protective clothing and footwear is recommended.

Ten breathtaking light installations transform the night, with every scene surrounding you in festive colour, sound and energy. ✨️ This December 2025, we invite you to join us for our winter light celebration set against the backdrop of the beautiful gardens at Stockwood Discovery Centre.

🤩 EVENT DETAILS
This year we have doubled the light trail from 500 metres to one kilometre, with over 20 light creations and a custom-made soundtrack.

Discover Stockwood like you've never seen it before, as you weave your way on a self-guided tour through the illuminated pathways, set against the backdrop of the lush greenery.  We have interactive light installations, shimmering disks reflecting the sky, bouncing psychelic colours, colourful animations and sparkly mirrors.

🎉 WHAT'S NEW FOR 2025
For 2025 we're also introducing 13 new light creations inspired by fairy tales, fast reaction games , water and ice.  There'll also be a few surprises along the way so be prepared for magic and adventure.
