⛱️ Bedford Borough Council has announced the return of Bedford Beach Week, a delightful family-friendly event.

The beach will be at Silver Square, Bedford.
This event has previously been held in Harpur Square, and this year it is being held in Silver Square, both outside and inside the new Visitor Information Centre (in the old Debenhams building).
🙋♀️ FREE
This unique event invites children to enjoy a free, sand pit experience right in the heart of Bedford. Entry is completely free, making it an enjoyable activity for all families.

One of the most influential and pioneering American bands of the past 30 years, since forming in 1989 Mercury Rev have released a succession of brilliantly innovative albums from the chaos of 1991 ‘Yerself is Steam’ to the shimmering psychedelia of 2024’s ‘Born Horses’. However, Mercury Rev are arguably best known for their 1998 masterpiece ‘Deserter Songs’. A record of beautifully orchestrated chamber pop which included the singles ‘Holes’, ‘Goddess on a Hiway’ and ‘Opus 40’, it was named album of the year in the NME and has subsequently gone on to be widely recognised as one of greatest releases of all time by the likes of Pitchfork and Uncut Magazine
Still featuring founding members Jonathan Donahue and Sean ‘Grasshopper’ Mackowiak, they’ve collaborated with The Chemical Brothers and headlined the main stages at festivals such as Green Man and Primavera Sound.
