🤩 Lateef Lovejoy is an an extremely gifted entertainer, who made his show business debut as a witty 12 year old on ITV’s famous morning gameshow “Mousetrap”. After that experience on the big screen, he has never looked back. Not many performers can boast of having exceptional skills in all the main areas of the performing arts, Lateef has these multi-faceted skills in abundance!
🤩 Susan Murray – Susan has emerged as one of the best female stand-ups in the UK and was the first ever woman to MC Decompression gigs for the British Army / CSE. She is in the top 100 Huffington Post funny women Tweeters. She’s wrote for and was a guest on Jeremy Hardy Talks To The Nation and has also starred in Stephen K Amos’ Idiots Guide both for Radio 4.
🤩 David Tsonos – If you want serious comedy, David Tsonos is not your man. With his friendly and confident persona, he intrigues everyone with his combination of banter and impulsive comments. His comedy stems from being the youngest of five boys, babysitting… his nephews and his cat.

📖 SOME INTERESTING HISTORY
The Panacea Society was originally called ‘The Community of the Holy Ghost’, and was made up mostly of women. Its leader was Mabel Barltrop – the widow of an English clergyman, and mother of four children– whose followers called her ‘Octavia’.

During the 1920s, followers of the Panacea Society moved to Bedford to live near Octavia. Eventually, the community was able to combine the gardens of several properties to form ‘the campus’ – a private space between the community houses, with a chapel at its centre.
From this headquarters, the Society operated a religious organisation which reached across the world. Over two thousand people became members of the Panacea Society, in Europe, North America and many parts of the British Empire and Commonwealth.
From its beginning, the Panacea Society expected the end of the world. Society members were convinced that God would soon act to bring about a new age – a period of peace and happiness called ‘the Millennium’.
The Panacea Society was part of a wider religious movement of groups concerned with prophecy. The Panaceans believed that God was speaking to them through Octavia, but her followers did not believe she was the only modern prophet. Rather, they accepted a lineage of seven prophetic voices since the late 1700s – a tradition they called ‘the Visitation’.

It's the perfect way to spend quality time with your friends & family and enjoy the great outdoors - or simply come down to practice your skills & beat your course best! Open from March to December - it's fantastic FUN for all ages!
Enjoy our beautiful lakeside setting as you work your way around our Disc & Football Golf course! You will need to throw your disc into the basket or football into the hole - the exact same as you would do on a golf course! Your round should take around 1 hour to complete. The one who takes the least goes is the winner!

Please ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked session start time & collect your wristband from our Activities Reception before heading over to our Disc Golf course.

The zoo proudly house's over 100 fascinating animals, from majestic African Lions to delightful sloth bears, a racoon dog, skunk, otters, a bob cat, wallabies, rabbits, meerkats and many more.
🌴 TROPICAL HOUSE
Inside the warm Tropical house you will find crocodiles, turtles, fish & snakes surrounded by palm trees.
(The Whatsup Bedfordshire family loved this!)
🛝 FUN FOR THE KIDS
You will find an outdoor play area with a climing frame, swings, slide and bouncers. You will also find a tranquil circular woodland walk. Keep a look out for Peacocks roaming around near the Steak House!

The parking is on gravel stones so this maybe hard to navigate a wheelchair. Although it does mention on the website that you can park infront of the Farm Shop which is tarmac ideal for wheelchair users. The farm shop, Steak House & Tea room are accessible. On a winter day you may find the zoo area paths are muddy, with some gravel paths and grass, so it maybe hard to push a wheelchair in places. There is a wooden slat ramp to the Tropical house.
🚻 Accessible toilets - Accessible toilets are available in both the Steakhouse and Tea room.

🚗 Great news, we’re back with a new meet at The Beehive in Deanshanger! The first of what will hopefully become a regular thing, the pub have kindly agreed to let us host a meet in the spring when the weather (hopefully) improves.

The Beehive a friendly and welcoming pub facing the village green with a large covered outdoor patio area and a separate smoking shelter is to the rear; are providing burgers and hot dogs, as well as their usual lovely selection of drinks from the bar, so please do come and help support them so we can keep running these in future.

Please can we ask classic cars in the car park only, if you’re coming to look round please park nearby. Parking is also fine on the road out the front of the pub.
