More details to follow but it will be a fun packed day for the family, with activities, stalls and performances. Come and hear about what MK does already to support neurodivergent people and plans moving forward.

ON THE DAY WE WILL HAVE:
Ife Thomas  – As a two-time author and TEDx speaker, Ife Thomas brings a wealth of experience and insight to her keynote speeches. Overcoming significant adversity as an autistic, black woman who was abandoned at six weeks old, Ife has become a beacon of hope and resilience. Her journey, marked by challenges, has shaped her into an expert in harnessing inner strength and transforming lives.

🚶‍♀️🌳 Join us for a friendly & relaxed, women-only guided walk around The Lodge in Sandy, led by our knowledgeable female volunteers.

Each session alternates between the 3rd Tuesday or 3rd Saturday of the month, focusing on a unique theme.

🦋 WHAT TO EXPECT
Each month focuses on a seasonal wildlife highlight, ranging from ‘Butterflies & Moths’ to ‘Fungi’. With a passion for nature and in-depth knowledge of The Lodge, our volunteers will take you to the right places on our reserve to experience these seasonal sights & sounds.   

👩 WHO IS THIS FOR?
These events are welcoming of any adults who identify as women. We also welcome non-binary individuals who feel comfortable in a women’s only space to these sessions.

We will cover areas of uneven ground and may go off trail for these sessions.

Please meet in the picnic area outside the Shop 10 minutes before the session starts. Please arrive earlier and head straight to the Shop if you wish to hire binoculars.

Featured in a range of TV series from The Crown, Antiques Roadshow and the Netflix hit Bridgerton, Wrest Park has been the back-drop for some of TVs most dramatic moments including the pivotal moment in Bridgerton's plot, when character Kate, Anthony's love interest, was stung by a bee.

💃 POSE IN COSTUMES
Throughout the guided tour, there will be chance to strike a pose in costumes from the Georgia era - and become your own star!

Following the Filming Tour, head to our dining room for an Afternoon Tea fit for a Duke or Duchess, a perfect chance to catch up on all the ton's gossip.

📖 SOME INTERESTING HISTORY
The Panacea Society was originally called ‘The Community of the Holy Ghost’, and was made up mostly of women. Its leader was Mabel Barltrop – the widow of an English clergyman, and mother of four children– whose followers called her ‘Octavia’.

During the 1920s, followers of the Panacea Society moved to Bedford to live near Octavia. Eventually, the community was able to combine the gardens of several properties to form ‘the campus’ – a private space between the community houses, with a chapel at its centre.

From this headquarters, the Society operated a religious organisation which reached across the world. Over two thousand people became members of the Panacea Society, in Europe, North America and many parts of the British Empire and Commonwealth.

From its beginning, the Panacea Society expected the end of the world. Society members were convinced that God would soon act to bring about a new age – a period of peace and happiness called ‘the Millennium’.

The Panacea Society was part of a wider religious movement of groups concerned with prophecy. The Panaceans believed that God was speaking to them through Octavia, but her followers did not believe she was the only modern prophet. Rather, they accepted a lineage of seven prophetic voices since the late 1700s – a tradition they called ‘the Visitation’.

🐷 Our visiting diary is open again and we've added the first dates for 2025. If you would like to come and see us, our beautiful rescued animals, enjoy our cafe with refreshments and souvenirs. We are a registered charity that rescues unwanted pet pigs and give them a safe and loving home. From little acorns that started 15 years ago with my own pet pigs, cementing my bond, knowledge and passion, a sanctuary has grown for these highly intelligent animals.
We have been rescuing pet pigs since March 2016 and have grown rapidly both as a respected rescue centre and a learning, education and wellbeing centre.

The sanctuary sits in 6 acres of land in the heart of Buckinghamshire and is a peaceful and tranquil environment. It’s been called the Happy Place by many.

We welcome schools, the scout and guide movement, enrichment and confidence building for children and adults with additional needs, the elderly and respite visits, take private tours and visits, unique parties, one-to-one sessions for people with diagnosis of autism, anxiety and other needs.

It's the perfect way to spend quality time with your friends & family and enjoy the great outdoors - or simply come down to practice your skills & beat your course best! Open from March to December - it's fantastic FUN for all ages!

Enjoy our beautiful lakeside setting as you work your way around our Disc & Football Golf course! You will need to throw your disc into the basket or football into the hole - the exact same as you would do on a golf course! Your round should take around 1 hour to complete. The one who takes the least goes is the winner!
