Expect a fun scarecrow trail around Shefford, perfect for families, friends and anyone who loves a community event with plenty of local charm. Whether you’re taking part or simply following the trail, it’s a lovely way to spend a few hours discovering all the fantastic handmade entries.

Enjoy free access to Stowe Gardens and on Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September 2026, in addition to exploring Stowe's 250 acres of landscape gardens for free, you'll be able to see inside the Gothic Temple, explore Stowe’s Parish Church and enjoy special access to Dido’s cave.

There is free accessible car parking available at Stowe Gardens. There are accessible toilets at New Inn, the entrance to the gardens and Stowe House. There are no accessible toilets in the Gothic Temple. Stowe Gardens, Dido's Cave and the church are largely accessible, but the Gothic Temple does require climbing stairs.
