🕤 SUMMER HALF SESSION TIMES
▪️Monday - Saturday:
9:30 - 11:30, 12:00 - 14:00, 14:30 - 16:30

11:00 - 13:00, 14:00 - 16:00
🤩 WHAT TO EXPECT
Join our resident lifeguards for two hours worth of fun and games on our fully covered beach.
With plenty of seating for the grown-ups to relax, our restaurant team will bring food and drink waitress served to your table so you can relax while the little ones play. This is the perfect summer treat for everyone!
Any children under the age of 12 months who are attending with an older paying sibling may enter the beach area for free.

🌺 The Walled Garden Open Day 2026

🌺 From the first Wednesday in May to the last in September 2026, we open the doors of the Walled Garden, Luton and welcome visitors to our unique Capability Brown designed walled garden and its unique service buildings.
🌹 WHAT TO EXPECT
Entrance includes a fascinating tour of the walled garden and visitors are encouraged to break their visit with a picnic or a visit to the Woodyard Café. The garden is best enjoyed at a snail’s pace, entrance is for all day! Notice boards and displays are updated throughout the season allowing fascinating insight into the garden’s rich history.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
Every effort has been made to make the garden accessible to as many visitors as possible. With that in mind we have recently finished resurfacing the area around the sundial making it far easier for wheeled access. However, due to the age and rich history of the garden there are some areas that are not accessible by wheelchair. Please inform members of the Walled Garden Project at the entrance and every effort will be made to provide an alternative route, provide commentary on the area, or help with pushing if there are volunteers available. Disabled toilets are available within the conservatory.

Dogs on leads with well-behaved owners are most welcome at the Walled Garden.

Parking is in an immediately adjacent car park with clearing marked disabled parking bays. Pre-booking is not required. Please note the Walled Garden is not at the hotel entrance.

🚂 Summerfields’ Miniature Railways system, is located in the open countryside near Haynes. The railways (there are three track systems at the Summerfields’ site) are a popular visitor destination for children and parents alike.

Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:45 (approx.), trains leaving Haynes End after 15:45 will not stop at Hammer Hill. We close at 16:00.

Explore 2 giant courses during your session (rotating after 30-mins) - twice the fun for the same price! How long will you stay dry?
🧦 Grip socks (or soft-sole water shoes): Optional, but recommended for extra comfort and grip. Socks are available to buy on the day. Wetsuits are also optional, but recommended & can hired on the day or pre-booked.
🏊♂️ Participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres while wearing a buoyancy aid and be comfortable falling into open water.

Join us for a fun-filled Wednesday morning or afternoon of outdoor adventures and nature crafts! This special summer programme continues the spirit of our popular Little Bugs and Wild Ed Primary clubs while they take a seasonal break.
For this special summer series, we’re opening up both sessions to all age groups—ages 3 to 10—so families can attend together, meet others, welcome new mini-explorers, and enjoy a variety of nature-based activities! Whether you're a regular at Luton’s Little Bugs or Wild Ed Primary, or completely new to our clubs, everyone is welcome to join the fun.
These sessions are a fantastic way for children—and their grown-ups—to build confidence in the great outdoors while connecting with local green spaces in a relaxed, playful setting. We will be following forest bathing techniques developed in Japan in 1980’s, that have been found to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve memory and concentration. Some findings even show it can help us stay healthy - nature is a powerful healer!
