🌹 WHAT TO EXPECT
Entrance includes a fascinating tour of the walled garden and visitors are encouraged to break their visit with a picnic or a visit to the Woodyard Café. The garden is best enjoyed at a snail’s pace, entrance is for all day! Notice boards and displays are updated throughout the season allowing fascinating insight into the garden’s rich history.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
Every effort has been made to make the garden accessible to as many visitors as possible. With that in mind we have recently finished resurfacing the area around the sundial making it far easier for wheeled access. However, due to the age and rich history of the garden there are some areas that are not accessible by wheelchair. Please inform members of the Walled Garden Project at the entrance and every effort will be made to provide an alternative route, provide commentary on the area, or help with pushing if there are volunteers available. Disabled toilets are available within the conservatory.
🐶 DOGS
Dogs on leads with well-behaved owners are most welcome at the Walled Garden.
🅿️ PARKING
Parking is in an immediately adjacent car park with clearing marked disabled parking bays.
Pre-booking is not required. Please note the Walled Garden is not at the hotel entrance.

😍 ABOUT THE OLDE WATERMILL SHOPPING VILLAGE
The Olde Watermill Shopping Village is set in and around an historic Watermill.
There has been a Watermill on the site since 1086 as the Watermill is mentioned in the Domesday book and it is one of the oldest overshot Watermills in the country.
Over the last few years, it has been lovingly restored and is now home to over 20 unique and individual shops as well as the Mill House Restaurant, Tea Room & Cafe, an antique centre, Miller’s Shopping Arcade and a soft play area for the children.

Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:30 (approx.), we close at 16:00.
Steam engines will also be in action as often as we are able.

At Hammer Hill you will have the option of taking a ride on two more of our railways - The Springfield Line from platform 2 and The Winterfield Line from platform 3 - tickets for both are sold at Hammer Hill.
The picnic area at Hammer Hill will also be open for you to use, from where you will be able to watch the Garden Line in operation.
At Haynes End the Station Buffet will be open for refreshments and picnic tables are available for your use on the grass outside.

Get up close and personal with adorable goats, release tension and tightness in the body and lose yourself in smiles and laughter whilst listening to the chatty donkey, peacock, chickens and pigs. Follow the session with Instagram-worthy photos of goat and animal feeding plus s'mores and snacks around the firepit and sunset viewing. What better way to spend an early Summer's evening? . If you’d like to smoke or vape at our events we ask that you do so away from the viewing areas. This is usually marked by our yellow flags but at some venues we’re unable to erect these, in those instances please smoke or vape towards the rear of the screening.

As an outdoor event we are subject to the whims of the British summer! We only cancel our events if the weather poses a risk to guests, staff or equipment. Only in exceptional circumstances will rain stop a screening so please dress according to the weather forecast. Decisions to cancel an event may not be made until the day of the event.

🎣 The Mental Health Benefits of Fishing
Fishing is more than just a hobby. It helps men step away from their busy lives and relax. The slow, steady process of fishing—casting a line, waiting, and focusing on the water—can be very calming. It helps lower stress and gives men time to clear their minds.
Spending time outdoors is also important for mental health. Being in nature can improve mood, reduce anxiety, and boost overall well-being. Fishing provides a chance to breathe fresh air, enjoy quiet moments, and feel a sense of achievement.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
A fully qualified facilitator and level 2 angling coach with over 30 years of angling experience. They will also provide fishing tackle, bait, etc. Please note that a rod licence to fish will be provided.
