🪨 The Hellfire Caves is like nowhere you have ever been before! Built in the 17th century you travel underground deep into the Chiltern hills. The ticket time is the arrival time and the experience walking down the caves takes approx 1 hour but you are able to enjoy for as long as you like within our opening hours!

✈️🐰 We are thrilled to be hosting our annual Easter Bunny ‘flies in’ and egg hunt once more, suitable for children of all ages. For a unique way to enjoy Easter weekend, families can catch the Easter Bunny flying into Shuttleworth in a fantastically quirky event. Let the children watch their favourite furry friend arrive in style before heading off on an Easter egg hunt through Swiss Garden, rounding off their visit with a chance to meet the Easter Bunny himself.

ℹ️ AGE INFORMATION
We usually recommend the age ranges of 1-13, but an adult or sibling, cousin etc may assist young children if they would like to ride but are too small to ride alone. We do have a few dedicated toddler size attractions and are hopefully looking to bring in some more smaller attractions and inflatables specifically for tots.
With good reason, you may assist your child! If they are too young to go alone, scared etc you may assist them.
ALL children attending will need to buy a wristband upon entry, no exceptions. Plan ahead! If you think our attractions are unsuitable for your child, please plan to leave them with a parent, grandparent, friend etc.

We usually recommend the age ranges of 1-13, but an adult or sibling, cousin etc may assist young children if they would like to ride but are too small to ride alone. We do have a few dedicated toddler size attractions and are hopefully looking to bring in some more smaller attractions and inflatables specifically for tots.
With good reason, you may assist your child! If they are too young to go alone, scared etc you may assist them.
ALL children attending will need to buy a wristband upon entry, no exceptions. Plan ahead! If you think our attractions are unsuitable for your child, please plan to leave them with a parent, grandparent, friend etc.

Using nets and trays from our pond-dipping platform and guided by one of our ranger team, you’ll first discuss the creatures you are likely to find, why they are key to the environment, and the importance of handling them carefully. Then you’ll be given pond dipping kits and take it in turns to dip. Identification keys are available and and a ranger will be on hand to share knowledge hear about your discoveries!
Sessions last approx. 30 minutes and a responsible adult must be present throughout. Meet at the Ranger Cabin 5 mins before and your chosen, ticketed start time.

A Ranger will lead your group to our den building area and introduce you to the tools and materials available, and discuss the min main properties a shelter should have if it were to be needed in a survival situation. Sessions last approx. 60 minutes and a responsible adult must be present throughout. Meet at the Ranger Cabin 5 mins before and your chosen, ticketed start time.

🐑 Watergate Farm Lambing Season 2025 - Hockliffe

🐑 The farm will be open again during the peak Lambing Season during the Easter period.
Visitors can hold the lambs and see a modern sheep farm at work. With over 2000 sheep to give birth, it is a great chance to see lambs being born, taking their first few steps and suckling their mothers for the first time.
👨👩👧👧 What is there to do at the farm?
There is something for everyone, from pony & tractor rides to wool spinning, painting, bouncy castle, lamb cuddles, face painting or just watching the ewes and lambs. Wellies might have to be worn as it can get quite muddy.

We don’t advertise feeding times as there are not enough lambs for everyone to feed, but if your lucky you may be in the right place at the right time!

We sell hot & cold drinks and homemade cakes. The BBQ has locally sourced burgers and sausages. Cash only is required to purchase.
♿️ Is the site wheelchair friendly?
We offer disabled parking and most the site is concreted. It is easy to get around the lambing shed and see the attractions.
