For the last year we've been running a major new Arts Council-funded project, shining a spotlight on Milton Keynes’s rich Hip Hop scene. In partnership with the OU’s OpenLearn, MÓTUS Dance, MK City Council, Break To The Beat and others, we are celebrating the past, present and future of local Hip Hop, through the voices, moves and creativity of the people who shaped it.
In May 2026, we released a limited edition vinyl compilation album, Under The Grid, featuring MK Hip Hop music spanning nearly four decades. Fully re-mastered, these releases celebrate musical creativity in the city, showcasing some of our most exciting hip hop artists.
Exploring the worlds of DJing/Emceeing, Street Art and Breakdance, the exhibition will also showcase artworks and artefacts from MK, as well as screening the new project film, Under the Grid, co-produced by the Open University.

🚶♂️Bourne End Heritage Walk - Hertfordshire

🚶♂️A 2 hour walk through the Village and surrounding areas to discover how this small settlement developed from pre-Roman to modern times and how it has been shaped by its people and geography, including important road, canal and railway links.

Nestled in the valley between Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead along the A4251 (formerly A41-the Roman Akeman Steet), Bourne End is a village shaped by its ancient chalk stream, the Bulbourne, its people and its rich history. This heritage walk follows roads, footpaths, and the Grand Union Canal, revealing the stories, buildings and characters that have left their mark.
ℹ️ Accessibility details
The walk takes place across country lanes, tow paths and narrow foot paths. There is one up-hill stretch. Stout walking shoes are recommended and people should carry a bottle of water. This walk in not suitable for people with mobility issues or wheelchairs. Refreshments and toilets are available in the Anchor public house.
📍Directions:
The walk begins at The Anchor pub, walking up towards Westbrook Hay School and onto land cared for by the Boxmoor Trust.
