Each month focuses on a seasonal wildlife highlight, ranging from ‘Butterflies & Moths’ to ‘Fungi’. With a passion for nature and in-depth knowledge of The Lodge, our volunteers will take you to the right places on our reserve to experience these seasonal sights & sounds.
👩 WHO IS THIS FOR?
These events are welcoming of any adults who identify as women. We also welcome non-binary individuals who feel comfortable in a women’s only space to these sessions.

We will cover areas of uneven ground and may go off trail for these sessions.

⛪️ De Grey Mausoleum Open Day - Flitton, Free entry

📍WHERE WILL I FIND THE MAUSOLEUM & OTHER INFO?
The mausoleum is attached to Flitton Church, St John the Baptist, Bedfordshire and is accessed via its nave. The Mausoleum is not dog friendly and there maybe some uneven surfaces not suitable for wheelchairs.
🎧 Audio tour: There is an audio tour for the mausoleum and we advise that it is downloaded prior to your visit as the mobile network signal strength in the mausoleum and the church is rather variable - click here for information about the tour and to download it.
🅿️ Parking: There is no car park at the church but there is limited on-street parking available on surrounding streets.
ℹ️ Facilities: There are no facilities at the church but there is a pub in the village and more options in either Flitwick or Ampthill.
WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
🍻 You will find The White Hart on the corner of Brook Lane serving great food from 12pm - 3pm on Sunday's. The pub is also dog friendly.

🚶♂️If you carry on walking down the bottom of Brook Lane you will find a lovely walk 'Flit Valley'. There is a Jack Crawley Memorable barn where you will find some history posters and information. The festival will feature an exciting mix of live music, street theatre, folklore-inspired art, and hands-on workshops, all free to enjoy. Visitors can also indulge in delicious pop-up street food curated by local favourite, Sophie etc., available throughout the day and into the evening.

ℹ️ ARE YOU AN ORGANISATION WHO WANTS TO TAKE PART?
The city council is inviting artists, creatives, and cultural organisations to submit ideas for a new commission to feature in the festival programme. Those interested can apply on the city council’s website.
⛔️ ROAD CLOSURE
Midsummer Boulevard East will be closed to traffic during the event. Diversion signs will redirect motorists, and buses will operate from alternative stops outside The Point on Lower Tenth Street.
