Our wild swimming experience is perfect for solo adventurers, couples, and families alike. Whether you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life or simply want to try something new, our experienced and friendly team (including an open water lifeguard) will be on hand to help you make the most of your time in the water.

▪️If you’re new to wild swimming and planning to start in the cooler months, we recommend you attend our ‘Introduction to Cold Water Swimming’ Course.
▪️Tow-floats are always required.

We have some tow floats available to borrow if you don’t have your own.

We have one portaloo at the lake. The nearest other toilets are at Bean Theory, our on-site coffee shop (approx. 10 minute walk up the hill)
▪️What should I wear for wild swimming?
Everyone is different, so please feel free to wear what feels comfortable for you, be it a swimsuit or wetsuit. Water shoes or socks can be helpful on the lake floor. Please also bring a towel and warm clothes.
🗺 GETTING TO THE LAKE:
On arrival at the estate, please follow the signs to the Bean Theory Car park. Once parked, walk down the gravel track on your left, below the vineyard. After a 5-minute stroll through the estate, your lifeguard will be at the lake to meet you.

💌 The Valentine Letters is an enthralling new play by Steve Darlow based upon the Second World War correspondence between Royal Air Force airman and Prisoner of War John Valentine and his wife Ursula.

These letters provide an unprecedented insight in to how two people struggle to find solace and keep their hopes and love alive despite the anxieties of John’s dangerous operational life, his three years behind barbed wire, and Ursula’s endeavours raising a newborn under the constant threat of aerial attack.
The Valentine Letters is a testament to the pain of separation, isolation, coping, and change, interspersed with humorous and heartwarming moments. A remarkable account of the effect of the Second World War on the lives of a young married couple and their generation.
