🏞WELCOME TO JORDANS MILL, A FOOD HERITAGE ATTRACTION SITUATED ON THE BANKS OF THE RIVER IVEL IN BIGGLESWADE.
🏃♀️Get ready to unleash your inner athlete and join in the fun with our Summer Games Trail!
Sprint, Balance, Limbo, Jump and Sail your way through the 10 mini challenges at each trail point, noting your score on the trail sheet as you go along.
🏆Add up your scores at the end and head to the Mill Shop for your prize!
🔸️Dates: Saturday 20th July - Sunday 1st September (open 7 days a week throughout the holidays).

🤵The Guy In The Luggage Rack @ Luton Age 8+

💼 The Guy In The Luggage Rack is an aerial theatre show about grief, memory and relationship. This narrative show combines physical comedy with striking aerial acrobatics and is the debut live show from She Said Jump.
“Daisyʼs mum died, nearly a year ago now. Sheʼs fine. Sheʼs busy. She canʼt complain. Except sheʼs got this slight issue with an invisible guy that wonʼt leave her alone and itʼs becoming increasingly difficult to get on with getting on.” Daisy is doing her best to keep her chin up and her head down - but as the 1st anniversary of her mumʼs death approaches she begins to realise grief isnʼt something she can put aside indefinitely, and whether sheʼs willing to admit it or not, things arenʼt fine.
From the silly to the sublime to the scary to the ridiculous, Daisy wrestles (sometimes literally) with her grief - Ian, a 6 foot invisible bald guy with a lot of luggage - eventually discovering that by letting him into her world she is able to reconnect with the memory of her mother.

🏖 Hitchin beach returns! Located in the Market Place from 6th - 26th August, children will be able to bring their buckets and spades to play in the sand. Come down and enjoy the fun! - 10am - 4pm each day

While you visit the lovely historic place of Hitchin you can check the unique and branded shops out along with restaurants and cafés galore. Also the school museum is very interesting but chargeable.
About a 10 minute walk from where the sandpit is in town, you will find the beautiful Bancroft Recreation Ground with a FREE Splash pad for the little ones, this is the perfect picnic location!

🌳 FREE ROXTON MAZE AT ROXTON GARDEN CENTRE

👀 A FREE A- MAZ-ING HIDDEN GEM IN BEDFORDSHIRE!

So this maze is free to go too, kids & adults will love it...... if you can find it that is!😁
🤔SO WHERE IS IT?
This FREE MAZE is located at the wonderful Roxton Garden Centre in Bedfordshire. When you enter the car park you will not see any signposts for it. As you go in the car park facing the garden centre turn right, then turn left as if you are heading for a dead end, it may seem like you are heading for the delivery entrance but there you will see trees on your right and a sign in front of you 'Roxton Maze'.
The maze is located next to the garden centre in a spacious field with a few benches to sit on. At the moment it is being trimmed back due to some hanging branches, we had to duck and dive a few times but it added to all the fun we had.
♿️ IS THE MAZE SUITABLE FOR PUSHCHAIRS OR WHEELCHAIRS?
I would say it is NOT suitable as there are branches, some on the floor and hanging low, some spaces may not be big enough and also the surface may not be suitable in my personal opinion. But the Garden Centre itself is wheelchair friendly.
🔓WHEN IS THE MAZE OPEN?
The Maze is open the same time when the Garden Centre is open. The details are below.
🌺THE GARDEN CENTRE
The garden centre is wheelchair friendly and dog friendly. You can buy things from plants, to clothes, to toys. When we visited on 03/08/24 we saw reduced clothes,suitcases, plants and other various things. So it's definitely worth a look!
☕️THE CAFE
The cafe has hot and cold food and drink options at reasonable prices. There is a kids menu and an indoor & outdoor space with unmbrellas to sit in the sun and relax amongst the outdoor flower section of the Garden Centre. Dogs are allowed but they are not allowed in the main restaurant area. Just ask staff if you are not sure, they will be happy to help.

👵 RED RIDING HOOD AUGUST 2024 SUMMER FAMILY SHOW. Red Riding Hood is our summer pantomime live at the Olde Watermill this August. Red Riding Hood is off to the Watermill Woods to visit her Grandma, Dame Cupcake, with a basket full of their famous home-baked cupcakes. Bedford Borough Council is launching August Activity Days, a free event designed to promote an active and healthy lifestyle for residents of all ages.No booking required just turn up!
⭐️Taking place on : Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 August

⭐️Where? Harpur Square, Bedford.
The event promises something for everyone. The two-day extravaganza will feature a wide range of free activities, including:
💃dance,
🧘♀️fitness, and sports sessions.
From street dance to yoga, body combat to pickleball, there will be something to suit all tastes and abilities.
SEN SESSIONS
The first hour of each day will be dedicated to SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), offering inclusive activities for all ages, plus there’ll be a rhyme time for young children too. In addition to the physical activities, a Health Village will provide information and advice on health and wellbeing.
Visitors can learn about the Healthwise programme, learn how to access blood pressure checks, and find out more about mental health support.
