Most will have steps at the entrance so please bear this in mind before boarding the buses. You are carried at your own risk and the vehicle owners, drivers or event organisers accept no responsibility for any loss or damage or injury as a result. We regret that we cannot carry dogs, other than assistance dogs on the buses.

๐ Sunset Starlight Walk 2024 - Letchworth
Time: 18:30 - 21:30
The 6.5 mile circular route starts and finishes at Letchworth Hall hotel, taking in acres of countryside and surrounding villages as the sun sets and the stars come out. In addition to the sunset, there will be 'light' and 'sound' shows along the way, including our spectacular tunnel of lights.
โจ๏ธGLOWSTICKS & FANCY DRESS
We also encourage walkers to help light up the night by wearing glowsticks and fancy dress. Sunset Starlight Walk is a 'walk to remember', whether you're walking to celebrate the lives of those no longer with us or make new memoriesโฆ or a perhaps a bit of both!
It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a late summer's evening, walk and talk with loved ones, and connect with the local community.

Every year, Garden House Hospice Care needs to raise ยฃ7.7 million - up from ยฃ6.5 million last year. That means we now need to raise ยฃ15,300 a day to provide our specialist palliative care free of charge to the local community. Sunset Starlight Walk is a sponsored walk and we are hopeful that the event will raise enough to fund our entire services for two days.

๐ค WHAT IS LIFE DRAWING
Life drawing - drawings made from the living naked human form - can be an important way for anyone with an artistic impulse to exercise and develop their skills โ I've always likened it to the artistic equivalent of going to the gym. It's also really fun.
๐ชTHE CLASS
We'll start with some quicker poses to get everyone warmed up, before moving to some longer poses so you have some time to explore in more depth, with a break half way though to share and assess our efforts.
๐WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
All you really need to get going is some paper and a pencil or two - it really can be as simple as that - and there's much to be said for the simplicity of that.
However, the world is your oyster - so you may want to consider charcoal, crayons, pastels - or something weird and wonderful if you're up for some experimentation - whatever takes your fancy. If you are thinking of getting really extravagant - ie something that might make a mess - please do remember to bring a dust sheet, as we need to take care of the studio.
You may also want something to lean on - boards are great - or easels if that's your thing - though a sturdy sketch book will do just fine in a pinch!
