β¨οΈ EVENT DETAILS
Watford Town Centre Winterfest is a wonderful FREE event to begin the Christmas period including funfair rides, festive activities, food & drink stalls, a high street parade and live entertainment.
Our BID-funded Christmas event takes place on The Parade, which will be filled with activities suited for all ages including funfair rides, a community feel and a fun festive vibe. As well as an extended Watford market, we will also have additional food, drink and community stalls, and some special live performances.
One of the main features of the day will be the Winterfest parade, which will begin at 4pm outside of Metro Bank and McDonaldβs on the lower high street. The festive parade will include a marching band, costume characters, local community groups plus more special guests. The Winterfest parade will last around 30 minutes and will move all the way up to the pond area on The Parade.
As well as organising Winterfest, Watford Town Centre BID has once again funded the townβs stunning LED Christmas light installations, with thanks to a contribution from Watford Borough Council. The festive LED twinkly lights provide a wonderful backdrop for all Watford Town Centre users, and they will complement Harlequin Watfordβs beautiful displays. The townβs festive installations will light up Winterfest at the conclusion of the parade (roughly 4:30pm) and remain lit until January 2026.
π CHRISTMAS MARKET LATES: 6PM - 10PM
Market Lates will seamlessly pick up the baton from 6pm to 10pm, extending the festivities into the evening and creating a full day of community-centred enjoyment.

Join the fun and come along to a SEN ice skate. Everyone can enjoy the ice and can either use traditional skates or twin bladed ice skates for added stability. Carers or accompanying adults can use traditional ice skates or over shoe grippers.
βΏοΈ Wheel chairs will be allowed on the ice for our SEN sessions. The music and lights are switched off for these sessions and the capacity is limited.
π§ Toddler Session: From Β£5.50 per person
Bring your little ones for an exclusive Parent and Toddler Ice Skating session. Under 4βs go free! You and your young children under 4 can enjoy the skating rink and can use the double bladed skates or over-shoe grippers. Pushchairs are allowed on the ice too!

π On Saturday 22nd November 2025, head to Milton Keynes City Centre for the annual Christmas lights switch-on event - a festive celebration of music, comedy, and community.
π§βπ EVENT DETAILS
The free outdoor event, taking place in The Point car park, features local performers and culminates in a spectacular fireworks display as the Christmas lights across central MK are switched on.
π FUNFAIR FROM 2PM
From 2:00 PM, visitors can enjoy fairground rides and watch comedy elves entertain the crowd, adding to the festive atmosphere.
πΆ ENTERTAINMENT FROM 4PM
The celebrations kick off at 4pm with a performance from the children of Christ the Sower Primary School. Joining them on stage is the 65-strong Milton Keynes Rock Choir, directed by pianist and singer Rob Baker. With over a decade of history in the community, the choir has become a staple at local festivals and events, bringing energy and passion wherever they go. Also lined up to perform is local jazz and swing singer Ollie Corbett, known internationally for performing with the swing-pop group Jack Pack.
π FATHER CHRISTMAS
Returning to compere the event for a second year is comedian and internationally recognised magician David Allen. Father Christmas will make a special appearance to push the plunger and illuminate the Christmas decorations along Midsummer Boulevard, at Midsummer Place Shopping Centre and 12th Street, and the brand-new Christmas tree outside Milton Keynes Theatre and MK Gallery.
π FIREWORK DISPLAY 5:15PM
The evening will culminate at around 5:15 PM with a dazzling fireworks display, lighting up the Milton Keynes sky.
