🌳 Outdoor nature play has many proven benefits for pre-schoolers. It supports their development, stimulates their senses, improves creativity, and boosts immunity.
That’s why our Outdoor Learning Team runs Tree Tots, a weekly 50-minute nature play session that enables you and your little ones to join in all kinds of outdoor fun alongside other children, parents and carers.
👩🍳 WHAT TO EXPECT
Tree Tots offers a range of seasonal activities designed just for under-5s. You’ll get to join in all kinds of fun things that connect you and your little one with nature – from ‘cooking’ in mud kitchens, balancing on ropes and swinging in hammocks to playing with water, exploring the woods and collecting natural treasure.

Taking place in a dedicated area of Howe Park Wood every Thursday at 10am (Winter) or 10am and 11am (Summer).

Tree Tots takes place in all weathers (unless it’s very extreme) because we believe that children should have the opportunity to experience the wild outdoors – whether that’s rain, wind, sun or snow. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather.

👨👩👧👦 My family set off for a wonderful day to this great farm in the Hitchin area. It is FREE entry, you can pick your own strawberries at a cost (currently not ready for fruit picking) with other activities for children and the family to enjoy. Set in the beautiful surrounding countryside. A great family fun, memorable day out for all and not far from Bedfordshire! Plus they have a car boot sale on Saturday's.
❓DO I NEED TO BOOK?
No you don't need to book which is the great thing, you can enjoy a last minute fun day out, but I'd recommend checking there facebook page incase of any updates on times and days ect. Here is the link:

It is FREE entry, you can pick your own strawberries at a cost (currently not ready for fruit picking) with other activities for children and the family to enjoy. Set in the beautiful surrounding countryside. A great family fun, memorable day out for all and not far from Bedfordshire! Plus they have a car boot sale on Saturday's.

⛪️ The De Grey Mausoleum is attached to the mid-15th-century parish church of St John at Flitton, Bedfordshire. It was first built in the early 17th century, before being expanded in 1704.The mausoleum contains a remarkable collection of funerary monuments spanning three centuries.
📍WHERE WILL I FIND THE MAUSOLEUM & OTHER INFO?
The mausoleum is attached to Flitton Church, St John the Baptist, Bedfordshire and is accessed via its nave. The Mausoleum is not dog friendly and there maybe some uneven surfaces not suitable for wheelchairs.
🎧 Audio tour: There is an audio tour for the mausoleum and we advise that it is downloaded prior to your visit as the mobile network signal strength in the mausoleum and the church is rather variable - click here for information about the tour and to download it.
🅿️ Parking: There is no car park at the church but there is limited on-street parking available on surrounding streets.
ℹ️ Facilities: There are no facilities at the church but there is a pub in the village and more options in either Flitwick or Ampthill.

🍻 You will find The White Hart on the corner of Brook Lane serving great food from 12pm - 3pm on Sunday's. The pub is also dog friendly.

🚶♂️If you carry on walking down the bottom of Brook Lane you will find a lovely walk 'Flit Valley'. There is a Jack Crawley Memorable barn where you will find some history posters and information.
