🇬🇧 Join us to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day at Milton Keynes Museum with this FREE event!
🔥 WHAT TO EXPECT
There will be live entertainment on the bandstand, cadet marches, plus food and drink available. MK Museum will be one of many sites across the UK and abroad, to light their beacon at 9:30pm.

🇬🇧 Thursday 8 May 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the day which in 1945 saw the end of war in Europe and the beginning of the end of WWII.
Along with all other towns and villages in the country, Leighton-Linslade has been invited by Pageantmaster Bruno Peek CVO OBE OPR to take part in a national celebration of this momentous occasion.

A special VE80 flag will be flown at the White House and the Town Crier will be reading a special proclamation.
At 9.30pm, parishes across the country will light a beacon to signify the light of peace emerging from the darkness of war.
Join us in Parson’s Close Recreation Ground for our own shared moment of celebration when a tribute will be read out as the beacon is lit and we join all those across the nation in singing “I Vow to Thee My Country” followed by the National Anthem.

Enjoy the 16 super soaking water features ranging from gentle mists, spray arches and tipping buckets to spray shooter cannons. The Splash Park is designed to be enjoyed by children of all ages from 2 years to 10 years.
Those who are older are asked to act responsibly for the safety of all.
Please note, the Splash Park will have 10 minute intervals where the water will stop to ensure water safety quality checks, why not take this opportunity to refresh at the Splashside Cafe.

ASHTON SQUARE CAR PARK is owned and operated by Central Bedfordshire Council. Please check the machines for chargeable days and hours.
