๐ Steaming Days is when we have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small ยฃ1.50 charge for this per person โ under 3s are free.

The rest of the site is open including the Railway Museum, the Visitor Centre with Gift Shop and Railway Cafe, and the model trains are usually running too. Steaming Days are most Sundays (Easter-Halloween), and also some Bank Holidays and some Wednesdays during school holidays. We have 25-acres of Railwayland to explore! Come and enjoy your local heritage railway!

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome around the site and on the train. The only area they are not permitted is in the cafe.

Carers are admitted free of charge with the person there caring for but MUST produce proof of status on arrival. If you cannot provide proof of status you will be charged full price.

Step into the past and experience firsthand activities like lacemaking and pottery or embark on an adventure on our Tractor to Pitstone Windmill.
With the Museum only open to the public nine times a year, our team of approximately 50 dedicated volunteers are on hand to ensure your visit is both educational and enjoyable.

๐ Steaming Days is when we have a full-size steam train in action, ready to take you for a ride up and down our track! We also have miniature ride-on trains which are run by our sister society VAMES, (there is a small ยฃ1.50 charge for this per person โ under 3s are free.

The rest of the site is open including the Railway Museum, the Visitor Centre with Gift Shop and Railway Cafe, and the model trains are usually running too. Steaming Days are most Sundays (Easter-Halloween), and also some Bank Holidays and some Wednesdays during school holidays. We have 25-acres of Railwayland to explore! Come and enjoy your local heritage railway!

Mental Elf is a unique event which focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise, but to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. It promotes the benefits of physical activity, connecting with people and doing something to help others. Itโs an inclusive and non-competitive event, accessible and open to all ages and abilities, and of course, Christmas fancy dress is very much encouraged!

The fundraising event will take place at the beautiful venue of The Forest Centre, in Marston Moretaine to help raise vital funds for Mind BLMK. All proceeds will help fund our key mental health and wellbeing services in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes. Each entrant will receive a victory medal!

No, this is an inclusive community run and won't be timed. You can walk, skip, run or jog, the emphasis is on moving your body and getting out in nature, whilst raising funds for Mind BLMK. Participants are welcome to time their own run, however this won't be tracked by us.

Well behaved four legged friends are welcome on short handheld non-extendable leads. Please be mindful of other runners and users of the forest. Only one dog per participant and please don't run with a pushchair and a dog at the same time. Please clean up any poo!
