No Visitor parking on site and nearby roads please use provided park and ride from Rufus centre and leisure centre. Very limited Blue Badge at village hall. Do not park on Dunstable rd or Temple way as this creates a danger to people visiting the show.
π PARK & RIDE
You can park at the Rufus Centre or Flitwick Leisure Centre and there will be a free shuttle bus service every 10 minutes taking you to the the main event (or you can take a 10 minute walk).
π BUSES TO & FROM THE EVENT
Buses will be travelling to and from the event from Ampthill & Toddington. You can see the timetable in the poster below.

π Kids Go For Β£1: Summer Steaming Days 2025

Time: 10:30 - 17:00
We have had some great feedback from doing this the last two years, as most places seem to be putting their prices up, so we thought we'd do it again this summer.
π 2025 DATES
July 30th and August 3rd, 6th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 27th and 31st...
Summer holiday Steaming Days are generally held on Wednesdays and Sundays from 30th July to 31st August 2025. There are only a couple of dates not included and that is because they are special event days.
π WHAT IS A STEAMING DAY?
Come and enjoy steam train rides, watch the model trains, ride the miniature railway, visit our huge Railway Museum and stunning Visitor Centre, plus you can see inside the Travelling Post Office carriages. There are 25 acres to explore! We also have a lovely cafΓ©, gift shop and secondhand book shop. There's so much to see and do for a First Class day out with the kids this summer!

Trains depart Haynes End between 10:30 and 15:30 (approx.), we close at 16:00.
Steam engines will also be in action as often as we are able.
βΉοΈ ABOUT
At Hammer Hill you will have the option of taking a ride on two more of our railways - The Springfield Line from platform 2 and The Winterfield Line from platform 3 - tickets for both are sold at Hammer Hill.
The picnic area at Hammer Hill will also be open for you to use, from where you will be able to watch the Garden Line in operation.
At Haynes End the Station Buffet will be open for refreshments and picnic tables are available for your use on the grass outside.
π§ WEATHER INFORMATION
We do try to run even when the weather is not at its best, but will have to cease operations should conditions dictate.
βοΈ DO I HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Except where indicated you do not need to book in advance, merely "turn-up and go". The operation of all railways is subject to the availability of volunteers to run them and the prevailing weather conditions.
