🥚 The hunt will be on at Milton Keynes Museum this Easter bank holiday weekend 2026 as youngsters search for hidden eggs which lead the way to yummy chocolate rewards. The egg search runs daily from Good Friday to Easter Monday. 

Please note that Museum will not be open Monday 30, Tuesday 31 March or Tuesday 7 April 2026.

🐣 April 1-6 and April 8-10
Little creatives will be able to get busy with ancient-gallery-themed arts and crafts, where kids can make their very own paper plate bunny, and peekaboo peg chick.

🍪 April 3-6
And you can decorate your own Easter themed cookie for a small charge, while history fans of all ages will also enjoy being able to get hands-on with replica and original artefacts.

Make the most of the Easter school holidays with a visit packed full of hands-on fun and discovery.

Step inside the farmhouse to enjoy traditional Parlour Games, make toast over the open fire in the kitchen and wander along the much-loved Street of Shops, where beautifully preserved façades bring our historic high streets back to life.

Be sure to stop by the Ancient Gallery to meet Iggy the ichthyosaur—an incredible fossil over 180 million years old, discovered during the excavation of Caldecotte Lake.

⚱️Become an ‘Archaeology Detective' on Thuraday 9th April 2026 at The Higgins Museum, Bedford and discover how we can learn about the past by what people have left behind.

Search through our mini dig trays and start to identify what the objects might be. Have a go at reconstructing items from the past such as a small pot or tile.

🚶‍♂️FREE Great Linford Manor Walk - 2026 (No booking required)


Time: 10:30 - 12:00

🌳 Learn about the ancient origins of the park all the way up to the modern era. On your walk, discover hidden gems such as the Veteran Lime Tree, Doric Seat and Ha-ha, which survive from the 18th century English Landscape Garden design of the park and have been recently revealed, revived and restored as part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund project.

🙂 FREE:
This walk is free but donations to the Friends of Great Linford Manor Park are welcome. No booking is required, just turn up and enjoy!

🗓 WHEN?
▪️The second Friday of the month at 10:30am
▪️Last Sunday of the month at 14:00pm

🚶‍♀️DURATION: Walks last around 90 minutes.

🥾 WHAT TO WEAR....
Sensible, hard-wearing footwear and outdoor clothing is advised.

♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
On one stretch of the route there are a set of deep steps (leading up to the Railway Walk from the Cascade Pond). Please let the walk leader know if you would prefer to leave the pond via an accessible route. One or two park features are located on grass, which can be muddy when wet. A hearing loop is available on request from events@theparkstrust.com.
Accessible parking is located around the Parklands Pond at What3Words location pencil.parsnips.glosses.

There are limited parking spaces on the approach to the park from Parklands (see above). Otherwise, please park at the Memorial Hall car park, off Marsh Drive and leave the Arts Centre car park free. What3Words location unite.nipping.places.
